I've seen the ads, it doesn't air for a couple more hours here.
They clearly wanted an even younger Dr., perhaps so they can add romance to his life?
In peace,

Any one here seen the new Doctor Who's with Matt Smith?
What do you think?

I certainly will tonight! LOL
been looking forward to this all day!
I'm a Nine girl...so even though I like Tennant (eventually...it took awhile), I'm more than willing to give Matt Smith a shot...I've seen the other stuff he's done and was fairly impressed...and given that my favorite storys were all written by Steven Moffitt...I think the odds are good that I'll like what I see...LOL
I have all the New Who books, K-9 on a keychain, a tiny diecast TARDIS, and for Christmas this year Baby Bro got me the Nine Action figure.....
yes..I'm a NUWU Whovian and proud of it! ( I'm a Torchwood fan too!)
Yeah, I'm a Whovian from childhood. had to be the odd duck as my Mother was a Trekker. I never thought anyone could be as good Tom Baker (and I was wrong) So, I'm willing to give MS a chance. I did like Eccleston too.
I have all the new books from 9 thru 10...well...except I just found they made a whole batch of "10" Which Way books and I'm still collecting up the Darksmith legacy books. And there are a few of the Audio books I need to get and a couple of graphic novels that they just released, that I don't have. (Betcha can't guess what I spend my Amazon $ from surveys on) Oh, and I have fobwatch, and a deck of playing cards, and a sonic screwdriver, and several posterrs and t-shirts but I'm not Dr. Who fan or anything LOL
Sorry, I didn't realize it hadn't aired yet on BBC America. We watch it through BBC iPlayer. (through a proxy server, it's complicated)
Our whole family loves Doctor Who, well, the recent ones that is. The kids like watching the older ones, but I just can't get into those. The Doctor seems like such a doof in those.
My wife and I started with Eccleston, and absolutely loved him. I liked Tennent from the get go, but Mandi had to warm up to him. Tennent is probably her favorite now...she cried when he re-generated.
So far, I really don't care for 11...hopefully it will get better, but he just doesn't seem to fit the part. He tries to be too goofy, and doesn't seem believable. On the bright side, episode 1 with MS is a really good story...episode 2 is pretty good as well. Episode 3 comes on tonight, but won't be on the BBC iPlayer until tomorrow.
Either way, we will trudge through if we must, but he better get better. It makes me sad that they replaced Tennent with Smith. Tennent rocked as the Doctor. If he doesn't, I hope they go ahead and replace him.![]()
Also, for those who haven't watched Doctor Who, Netflix has almost the entire series on Instant View. We watch it through our XBOX. It's great!
I keep meaning to sit down and watch Dr Who, but I never get around to it. I did watch some Torchwood, but I lost some interest cause the acting was pretty cheesy in it and haven't finished the series out yet. For anyone who has seen both, was Dr Who's acting on par with Torchwood? Cause if so, I'll pass, but if it's not as cheesy, I'll bump it up on my list of things to get around to watching.
I didn't care for Torchwood...it was pretty cheesey and fairly violent. Doctor Who does have it's cheesey moments, but it a very lovable show. But as with all made-for-TV Sci-Fi shows, there will always be cheese laden moments.
The older episodes are supa-cheese, but the newer ones are really good.
On a side note, FOX is supposedly working on a new version of Torchwood, with less "adultness" to it. It will supposedly have Cap'n Jack in it as well. We'll see.
can someone tell me about season 2009 was there an entire season or only a few episods....i watch up through 2008, but somehow lost track of season 2009... ive seen the mars one and the season finally were there others???
