Thanks for the review!
It was SO good!!
I'm so the Superman junkie. I loved Christopher Reeve, so I went grudgingly to this film cause I really didn't want anyone to replace him. Oh my, it was great!!
My kids, who are only 5 and 6, sat through this film no problem. And that's no small feat considering it was 2 1/2 hours long.
I thought the writers went to great lengths to make sure that this Superman was very similar in manner of speaking, personality, and even the way that he moved and interacted with Lois Lane. I missed Christopher Reeve's blue eyes, but these blue eyes were pretty too....
Big Kudos to the director/producer/actors and actresses in the movie. Outstanding, I thought.
Have you been?

I agree with everything you wrote. I loved Christopher Reeve, too. I thought Brandon Routh did a great job for us *older* ladies who can remember Christopher from the 70's/80's.Originally Posted by mama22qts
Great movie! really enjoyed it:)
I loved Superman Returns. And I loved Pirates of the Caribbean 2. Can't wait for No. 3., Keith Richards is making an appearance as Johnny Depp's character's dad. That should be a hoot!
Christopher Reeve became Superman for many of us, that is once we got over the shock of Superman NOT being George Reeves. I think Roush did a terrific job.
I liked SR a bunch, but I had a couple of HUGE problems with it. The actress who plays Lois Lane is far too young to be believeable as a successful journalist. And Supes has been gone for 5 years, but Lois' kid is already not just in school, but taking science classes?
We just went to the library and got the first 3 Superman movies on DVD, and seeing them in comparison, the newer one is easier to watch for effects, etc, but the older ones just seem like a little bit more fun. A lot of this is due to Hackman's Luthor being more genius than evil, but Spacey's Lex is more evil.
Parker Posey steals the show for me.
I anxiously await the next installment(s).
