Children's Clothing Deals on Black Friday! (What are you hoping for?)

Last year I was one of those crazy ones at the outlet mall at midnight. I was very disappointed, though. Carter's/Osh Kosh had made a BIG deal of their holiday sales, and honestly their promotion was blech (the scratch-off cards that didn't really have anything good) and the sales weren't even as good as normal sales.

I did end up going to Hartstrings, they did a sale where your discount was based on how early you went in. I think I ended up with 40% off, if I remember correctly.

What is everyone hoping for as far as sales? Or previous experiences with store sales?

I am definitely hoping for some good Hanna Andersson holiday sales. Gymboree, of course. Those 2 I know I'll be checking out. I'm sure TCP will have good sales, but it will depend on how interesting their clothing lines are at the time. :D

I go to the Sears Friends & Family sale every year (they use their BF ad for the sales + more % off discounts) and always find some really cute clothes for my great-nieces there! I just wish I could convince their parents and grandparents not to buy their "Christmas outfits" before then, cuz they have some adorable ones at good prices during that sale.... but I'm only the great-aunt, what do I know, right?! (Oh yeah-- I'm the one that knows how to shop frugally and still get super-nice stuff!

I've also found some nice stuff for teens and pre-teens at Goody's on BF. But I probably miss out on some of the best stuff there, cuz the checkout lines are so long there that I usually wait till the afternoon before I even try!

The only other real clothing stores in the area I shop are JC Penney and Fashion Bug, but I'm usually finished shopping for kids' stuff by the time I get there... Anyone know if they usually have good deals on kids' stuff at those?

I love hitting Gymboree on BF, they usually open at 6am where I live and everything is an extra 30% off! plus the 20% off coupon, plus the gift cards I get from their credit card( I usually wait unit BF to use them). I made out like a bandit last year! Where I shop, they bring out the boxes too!

Gymboree usually has $10 and $15 pajamas and they're great. Not to mention their sweaters that are usually somewhere around that price. On Black Friday they have an early shopper coupon (30%) and then 20% for the rest of the weekend.

There were a couple of years when Limited Too had a buy one get one half off everything in the store until a certain time on Friday morning. Sometimes this has timed out perfectly with the Too Bucks for bonus savings. I made out big last year at Disney when they had an exclusive early morning promo on top of their regular promos for that weekend. I'll be asking all of my normal stores about early Friday promos this year for sure!

I'm thinking of going to Kohl's to get the kid's Christmas outfits. Anyone else going there? How can I work it at Kohl's. I've never done Kohl's on BF before, but I know they have stellar deals on clothing.

I have gone to Kohls every BF, and every time their lines are outragously long. (Like wrap around the store long!) I get there soon after they open too. I always go to Wal-Mart first, but then usually straight to Kohls. Just be prepared for long lines. Have a list, go straight in, grab what you want, then get in line immediately. Trust me, there will be plenty of time to browse as the line winds through the store!
