yeah, and the bilingual should say "two languages"... I can't edit it so meh.
I only speak English
I only know two languages: English and Bad English
I am bilingual (I fluently speak 2 languages)
I am trilingual (I fluenty speak 3 languages)
I am polylingua (I fluently speak more than 3 languages)
I can get around in another language(s) but I am not fluent
Just curious!

I obviously know English, and I've taken 3 years of Spanish. I'm no expert, but I can understand it pretty well written out, not so much by hearing it though.
I know how to say "I am fat" in German as well, does that count?![]()

I don't technically "speak" another language, but I do know American Sign Language (it was my foreign language requirement in college). I used to be fairly fluent, but I am terribly out of practice!

I consider ASL to be another language.
I do too, I was just being a little silly about "speaking" it, since I don't say anything with my voice. :-)

Really? I thought about doing that straight out of college. My professor (who was deaf) strongly encouraged it, but I never got around to it, and now I am so rusty (I graduated in 2002) because I never practice, I feel like I would have to take some refresher courses.
That is so cool, though. I don't know many people who speak ASL. Hmmm... maybe I should see if there is a school around here (new town) that offers clases!

In high school, I took 3 years of Spanish and 2 years of French (my senior year I took both Spanish 3 and French 2. It was a disaster - same teacher for both so I spoke a strange language of Fr-anish or was it Sprench? lol) French is pretty much lost to me, I was worthless trying to speak when we went up to just outside Montreal earlier this summer. Beyond si vous plais and merci, it's just bad!! I can still do ok (not great!) with written Spanish or if it's spoken to me really slowly, but for me to speak it on my own, well that's another story.
I also know a little bit of Polish. Counting to 10 and the days of the week and phrases here and there that I picked up from my grandmother when I was little, but I wish I had learned more.
