Mine can't STAND to rewatch something, but he will play video games until he is so angry and frustrated (at the game) that all I hear are expletives. Then, when I recommend he take a break, I'm in the doghouse! LOL, men...
So my daughter and I were sitting at the kitchen table and Hubs turns on the TV. I couldn't make out what was being said so I askd my girl what he was watching. She said "what do you think?" Meaning, he was AGAIN, for the 3rd or 4th night in a row, watching the SAME movie (in this case Outlaw Josey Wales).
Granted he's always so tired he never sees the whole thing in a sitting because he falls asleep a few minutes into it but this movie is so old and he's seen it dozens of times.
He will get on a movie kick and watch the same one night after night after night. The next night he'll just turn it back on again, maybe go back a little to see what he missed and there he goes.
It drives me up a tree!!
Now tell me, is this weird???Anyone else have a weird Hubs?

I had sanity once upon a time I promise. It was just so long agoooo that I can't remember it

Well, it may be weird or quirky but I do this sometimes, too. I will put on a movie to "watch" while I am trying to sleep. It has to be a feel good movie that I have seen lots of times. If it is new to me I might get drawn into the movie and it will keep me from falling asleep. I sometimes will put on the same movie for several nights...especially if I wake up at a certain point and the next night I want to see some of the parts I missed. I have about a dozen movies that I like to "watch" while I am sleeping. My current favorite is Mamma Mia because I like the story and I like most of the songs. It is a good movie to listen to while I rest my eyes.![]()
Ha! That just happens to be one of my husband's favorite movies as well. He also falls asleep watching stuff just because he's usually exhausted by the time he sits down. He's seen half of a Ron Paul interview with Jon Stewart about 8364 times in the last couple of weeks, but he swears that watching the same thing over and over annoys him and won't do it if he's aware of it.

aimeebee - no feel good movies for him. They have to be "shoot 'em ups!" Or maybe those ARE his feel good movies!!
Smee - Hubs loves Westerns. I can't even remember the last movie I watched.
Princess - hey take advantage of it. A lot of women have the opposite complaint - that their Hubs doesn't want to spend the $$$$ on new furnithre.

DH never watches the stuff on the DVR. I watch it though-why tape it if you don't plan to watch it?
Oh he now saying the stuff is too expensive. I'm willing to just buy one room at time but he wants this and that. UGH!

I could never sleep while watching shootem up movies. It would make me have weird dreams. lol
everprincess...my hubby does the SAME thing. He records stuff and never watches it. If I say anything he will point out really old stuff that I have DVRd. Difference is mine are feel good movies which I have watched dozens of times and want to save and watch again. His is junk he recorded and never has/never will watch.![]()
Ah, yeah. My guy is a huge fan of old westerns, too. I hate them! Call me weird, but I can't doze off to gunfire. Fortunately (or not), he also loves football and it's the perfect white noise to doze off to.

DH is all about John Wayne westerns-he would sit and watch them all day-even though he has seen them hundreds of times. ( I HATE old westerns)
What drives me so batty about DH and TV watching, is that he has to have two shows going. We are watching one show-a commerical comes on and we have to flip to the second show, becuase god forbid we watch a few commericals.
He has to flipback and forth from the second show to the first to see if it's back on yet and ends up that we miss out on a few minutes of the first show right after the commerical. We end up missing much of the second show too becuase of flipping.
It drives me batty!!!!!
