Default I'm really laughing at this ebay auction

I was on ebay checking some of my stuff that I'm selling, & I cruised over to check some coupons. I came across an auction for .50/1 simply tear pads. 15 of them, with a day left-is going for $20.59, plus .99 shipping.

So, even if your store doubles & they are on sale for $1, you are losing money. Bunches of money, lol. I'm thinking someone really didn't think and do the math before they bid.

Wow! Just when I think I've seen it all. It's possible that there's a triple event that would bring overage, but still.

OMG I have noticed this several times with various coupons on Ebay!!! It amazes me the stupidity! Even some of the sellers amaze me...2 coupons for free 20oz cokes $1.98 plus $.50 postage. Really? I could go to the store and just buy to cokes for $1.98 so why would I buy coupons to do that? Then, this one just takes the cake, a $25 Applebees gift card.....Sold for $27 plus postage.....REALLY????

I am seeing more and more of that. Even some buy now prices would only save the buyer very little. Like me I dont have stores that thriple at all. I drive 30min one way to kroger for mega sales becuase they double.

yep at .50 tripled to $1.50 that is only $22.50 how knows what the bidders are thinking..some people just have to win onice they make that first bid.

Frankly, I'd rather do without than feed greed. I don't blame a seller if the bidders go that high. I'm talking about unreasonable BIN's.

The greed of someone taking that many tear pads (or whatever) is what makes me sick.

Yeah, this seller has numerous listings for tear pads, so if you live in their area, I guess you won't be finding anything left but empty tear pads.

I saw another auction for a free bottle of coffee-mate, latest bid was $3 something, shipping was $1. Around here, the bigger bottles are $3.14. Again, either no savings or very little.

This happens with Box Tops For Education all of the time!!

I don't get it at all.

Would you ever seriously pay face value, or more for a coupon?!?!

Why would you buy BTFEs for .10 each - or more????

Years ago on ebay, and I'm sure it still happens more than not, there were false bidders who drove up their auctions with multiple ID's or had their friends up the bidding to create bidding wars.

They don't lose much on coupon auctions doing that if their REAL bidders drop out, but many times you can see the same bidders over and over again who always bid but lose - ebay never did anything about it years ago and I'm sure they still don't. It's money in their pockets either way.

Coupons are found money - who walks by money on the ground??
