I assumed they could double triple somewhere.

Maybe it's fraud and some little store is sending in the coupons some how. I don't get it.

I remember meat $2 off any meat coupons which were cut from a Spanish paper in California. They were like $10 for a lot of 20 no size, no state restrictions. Generic meat coupons are rare so that was a good buy for me. I've always checked if they'd come back, but no luck

I don't get it at all.

Would you ever seriously pay face value, or more for a coupon?!?!

Why would you buy BTFEs for .10 each - or more????
People pay more than 10 cents each because they want their kid to win the pizza party.

I had a LOT of box tops from a recent promo where stuff was dirt cheap and gave bonus box tops. I put them up on ebay with the bidding starting at face value and the BIN price at 140% of face value. I had about 10 lots and all but one sold at the BIN price. I don't really get it, but I am not complaining.

Even after ebay/paypal fees, I still made more than I paid for the products to get the box tops.
I can't be done shopping, I still have coupons left!!!

I've always wondered if it was a money laundering scheme for small fries. Obviously mob bosses would have better ways to do it--but for small potatoes people--it's pretty anonymous, easy, you don't have to leave your house, etc.

I have a questions, since my kiddo is still too little to go to school.

Are kids required to bring in BTFE? What kind of requirements do schools have?

We don't eat foods that have BTFE on them. I don't really want to alter our eating habits when LO is older for little pieces of paper, I'd rather just give the school money instead. Does that make me a bad mommy?

You sound like a good mommy
But keep in mind, the BTFE are not only on the food items, but also on non-food brands such as Cottonelle, Kleenex, Scott, Hefty, Avery, Ziplock, Hanes apparel, and on and on.
Even in the food items there are quite a few healthy items - Juicy Juice, Kix, Chex, Cheerios, Land O' Lakes butter, cheese, etc.
And no, I don't think kids are required to bring them in (I could be wrong, I don't have kids in ps) but they have contests to make it fun.

On a regular basis, I see gift cards that are up for auction on ebay. The bidders keep bidding, until they wind up paying the full face value of the gift card - or pretty close to it. Example: A $20 wal mart gift card, winds up selling to the last bidder for $19.75. What is the point? The buyer saves twenty five cents on a twenty dollar gift card.

    It makes no sense.
