I'm not a relic but old enough to have earned a little crankiness. The printables forum here keeps my printer busy and today I check out The Queen's post for Aquafresh Toothpaste. There are a number of coupons to choose from and the selection is staggering.

Aquafresh Iso-Active Whitening in Fresh Impact, Deep Impact and Lasting Impact. Once you're impacted, why can't you be fresh, deep and lasting all at the same time? Couldn't all this impacting be done in one product? The Madison Avenue genius that thought this up probably never had a painful impacted tooth.

Aquafresh Advanced 2x Enamel Strengthening Action and Advanced 2x Whitening. Really, is 2x enough? Let's hope that non-advanced had a really good clearance price and the coupon was still good.

AquaFresh Extreme Clean Whitening Action. Now this makes sense. We all understand "extreme".

New! Aquafresh Extreme Clean Pure Breath Action. I'll just save my breath on this one.

Aquafresh Training Toothpaste. Is this supposed to be combined with potty training? Is it heavy handed? Ok, so its a match to the Training Toothbrush but still....

And this is just Aquafresh. Look at all the shelf space Crest takes up with 3-D White, Pro Health, blah, blah, blah. If I didn't have coupons that make these products super cheap or free I'd have to resort to baking soda and salt. Ok, maybe that is a little "extreme".

Totally! I read somewhere that there was an excess of aluminum so they developed toothpaste to get rid of it. The real question is paste or gel and even then that's a mute point.

And what about how expensive those ridiculous tubes of toothpaste have gotten to be? Five and six bucks for toothpaste???? I prefer Aim. It's less than $1/tube, tastes good and does the trick. That's all I need.

I felt the same way, but about toothbrushes, a few weeks ago when I was trying to match up my coupons to the sale items at WAG. There are dozens of varieties and everything is so specific. One word off and it's a completely different product from the same manuf. I finally told myself I didn't have the right coupons and I had enough toothbrushes at home just to save myself the headache.

Indeed on the 'varieties' nonsense! Same with shampoos/conditioners and just about every other HBA item! Criminy, try to find something in make up and it will make you babble incoherently!
