I don't, but I think it's a lot harder than selling Avon, I would be more likely to buy Avon than anything else, they are cheap and easier to sell.
Anyone here do it? Do you like it? Would you recommend it?
I've been looking for a part time job for a little while now, but I haven't had much luck in finding something that I could do whenever I want. (Basically I want a part time job for the $$ but don't wanna work too hard, lol) I want a reeeeallly part time job.I work a full time job so I would feel bad neglecting my dogs all the time by having to go from one job straight to the next. That's one of the things holding me back from getting another job.
But I've been considering selling Mary Kay after talking to a friend that sells it. I'm not the pushy type - I hate trying to sell people stuff. That's what makes me kind of nervous. That and I'm not a huge girly girl. I also don't personally know a lot of people who I think would buy the stuff. I hate when people nag me about their parties so I can't imagine doing it to other people. I would post links here in the HE forum, but I don't know about chasing people down to do facials.
I'm looking for thoughts on selling MK, the good, bad and the ugly.

HOnestly everyone I know has a friend that sells MK. My BFF sells it but just enough to keep me and her sisters in make up. And BFF is not the pushy type that MK strives for.
Good luck whatever you decide to do!
I would not sell it for you have to do those home show things. Those can take hours to do. I wear some MK stuff becuase it wers better but for most part I go for the cheaper stuff. I have had those in home MK things before one time it started about 1pm and took until like 6pm to get everyone out of my house. I only done it for a friend but I wont ever again...to much girl fun for me i guess...

Logically, you have to know people who will buy, know people who know people who will buy, or branch out and network. It could be as easy as passing out catalogs with your phone number, but without customers, you have no sales.

My mom "sells" MK, but I don't know if she has ever made a profit on it. They have minimum order requirements and you have to work hard to make sales. She has never worked hard at her business. She could do great if she would put in the effort, but it is more than just a 5 hour a week minimum commitment. Your friend gets a bonus if you sign up so that may be part of her motivation too.
