I guess if I felt comfortable at my current weight, I'd take the $1,000, just because it's $1,000 more than I had before. But, if it's measuring how much money I have to have to lose that much, or if it's measuring how much effort/willpower I would have after getting $1,000, I'd say I'd have just as much willpower as before and I'd need much more than $1,000 to lose weight by myself. I see so many ellipticals sitting in people's houses, collecting dust, and I feel like mine would do the same. I'd probably need a trainer, a food program, and a celebrity's amount of time.
I'd give 20 pounds about a year to come back on (if I wasn't trying to maintain the weight) so I'd enjoy a year's worth of comfort. A year"s worth of less fat vs. $83 dollars a month. 20 less pounds, even if it reappears gradually --- I'll take it!
I'm just commenting on those dusty ellipticals. I know darn well people have dusty treadmills in their homes also...why in the world don't they sell them to me??? My treadmill has almost 5000 miles on it and I REALLY need another one. I check craigslist every week and cannot find a decent used treadmill.
ugh.
so upsetting. And I would totally use the $1000 for a new treadmill. Well, actually I would still comb craigslist and save the thousand bucks.
I'd take the weight-loss in a heartbeat... 20 lbs off and I'd be the weight I was when I was a competitive gymnast in high school!
