    HOT I really, REALLY dislike when . . .

. . . . you go to print a coupon and it prints a HUGE, COLORED ad that uses a ton of expensive ink on 3/4 of the page BEFORE it prints the coupon.

    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

The Purex 3 in 1 complete just did this. I wasn't even printing it for myself.

    Any others???

Also when the expiration dates are so small you have to ask someone else to read them for you.

Yeah - what are they thinking, whoever designs those things? Are they trying to discourage us from actually printing it??

I hate searching through pages and pages at coupons . com and smartsource to find elusive coupons. Wish they had a better index. I know you can search by catagory, and on smartsource you can search by popular brand, but I'd just love to see a simple list to select from. No need for pages and pages.
Or why not allow you to view 100 coupons on one page? I wouldn't mind a slower load time if you could see them all at once!

I hate when it says that you've already printed the coupon and you know that you haven't.

We need to complain to the manufacturers when that happens. It is important to us that they don't waste our money when we're trying to save and they should know that.
You can give a horse a coupon, but you can't make it save.

I hate when the paper that comes out of the printer looks like a coupon but says you have already reached your household limit. Please tell me that BEFORE I hit the print button.

Clipper - I did write them, the note follows. I doubt I hear anything back though.

Kulis - weird. I have had it say I've already printed the coupon but it's never done what you described.

This is the email I sent. A little harsh I know.

I went to print a Purex 3-in-1 coupon yesterday and was appalled and angry when, without warning, a very large COLOR ad printed, wasting my expensive printer ink AND 3/4 of a sheet of my paper. I find it sneaky and underhanded to insert ads when you are expecting only coupons, but it is especially devious to REQUIRE you print the ad BEFORE you can access the coupon. I make every effort to be frugal and conservative and resent this callous and completely unnecessary disregard for my efforts AND the complete lack of “green” awareness and compliance on the part of Purex. Furthermore, if I have already gone to the site to print the coupon it all but guarantees I plan to purchase the product; I do NOT need more advertising to convince me to do so. To the contrary, this has all but persuaded me to NOT purchase it. Please have your advertising geniuses take today’s economy as well as many of our desires to live a budget-conscious and “greener” life into consideration and put a stop to this wastefulness and deceit.

Oh yes! My printer isn't attached to my laptop. I have to take it to another room and plug it into the printer.
So there've been a few times where I noticed the print limit seemed greater than 2. So I would keep printing....
When I went to plug it in, 10 sheets of fake coupons that just say "you've reached your print limit" printed out!

I really don't understand, from a marketing point of view, how these giant ads are helpful. Obviously we are interested enough in the product that we sought out the website and/or a coupon. And we're interested enough in the product that we chose to print the coupon, I think you can make the leap that we intend to purchase the product--so why yet another ad?

I know! I told them nearly the same thing in my email:

" . . . Furthermore, if I have already gone to the site to print the coupon it all but guarantees I plan to purchase the product; I do NOT need more advertising to convince me to do so. . . . "
