What do the people behind you in line say?

I was in the store yesterday and after my total was registered, my balance before my reward card and coupons was $96.+ ! After the coupons and card, $39.+ !! The customer waiting in line behind me said "Smart shopper!!" I smiled and thanked her. I was curious if anyone else has had feedback about their savings in line at the checkout, besides eyes rolling as you hand over your coupons?

I have had several people make comments about how much money I saved. I even had a cashier show the lady behind me my receipt and comment about how much I saved and how great she thought it was.

Last night, I had a cashier say, "Now that's the way to save money with coupons!" : ) I payed 10.00 for about 60.00 woth of stuff and got 6.00 in ONYO's.

Sometimes I hear the 'sounds' - huffing and puffing, shifting weight from one foot to the other, but for the most part the reaction is good. "Wow, I need to come shopping with you" is one I hear a lot.

I usually get a positive reaction from the cashiers and the people behind me (questions about how I find Q's, saying they should start using Q's, etc.).

A few times (both at Target when the cashier was being fussy about my Q's that were perfectly legit) I've had people behind me huffing and puffing - by BF is much more worried about that than I am. If other people want to be irritated because my Q's take too long, they can go to another line!

Had cashier tell me I need to take her shopping... and lady behind me made a few nice comments, then came up to me on our way out and asked if I did the loadable kroger coupons. Usually it's the eye rolling and complaints from cashiers.. so that was nice!

I hear more bad things at walmart then good...but at kroger I usually hear good one like wow I wish I could do that, this one man last weekend told his wife that she needs to be more like me when he saw my total go form almost $400 to $50 something....it seems the only person that has problems with my coupons at Krogers is one of the mangers and if she is there she watches me from the time I enter the store until I leave,she will even come over and bag my items about every time. I dont know if its because I have such a big buggy full or what but she dont seem to like me, I have even cought her rolling her eyes at me a few times...I do get alot when i go there for its 30/40 min drive one way and I have to make it worth the drive with 4 yer old twins.

I have learned to go to store as soon as it opens so that noone is in line behind me. We live in a small town and in afternons everyone is there and tired and cranky from work.
Earlier just works better ,for me, and the cashier the other day thanked me for coming in at a time that is very slow. I had never thought about it but I bet those people huffing and puffing stress cashiers out to! And she also praised me on saving so much money.

I stocked up on boxed cereal one time. (really stocked up) The guy behind me asked if I ran a daycare...but then when he saw how little I ended up paying he asked me to teach his wife to shop like that.
