Yeah, you and your Kroger that doubles over .55 - I'm so envious. WHY don't any of our stores here do that???

I should add I don't freeze cheese either. We do use a lot but I think the texture is compromised way too much and I'm not willing to do it. Milk, bread or cheese, - those are the things I won't freeze. Ha ha! Made a little poem.

Also, most of the time we buy a block of cheese and shred it ourselves. We get a big block of sharp cheddar from Sam's club and occasionally buy small ones of Monterey Jack or mozzarella as needed.

We usually eat cheese about as fast as I buy and if I really get a good sale and stock up I dont worry for it usually has a long expire date,so I have never tried to freeze it, a friend ask and I knew that someone on here most likely had tried it.

Renee as you know I have to drive like 30/40 minutes one way to get to the one I shop at for I dont have one in my town. If they did not double up to .60 and have mega sales where I get things dirt cheap or free when I add coupons I dont think I would be shopping there becuase I have to add in the twins with the drive so makes for a long shopping trip LOL but true.

I kind of based my voting on the string cheese. Don't buy shredded very often.

I buy Frigo. It's cheaper and my kids don't complain.

I don't find they freeze well though....mozarella in general has a very sour taste after being frozen.

I usually buy Frigo string for its cheaper here and with coupons its a good deal... and it taste like babybell which we all love...we cook alot of mexican type foods so shredded dont last long here either.......every now and then I will catch Karft string on sale and have coupons that makes it a better deal over Frigo but we like Frigo better than karft string.

I especially like the 50 cent coupons on any one frigo..cause I buy the 33 cent one's and get overage at walmart!
