Catalina Redbox- worth it w/free codes?

While at Kroger yesterday someone dropped/left 2 CATS on the road with 10 Redbox codes. Not expired but of course I dont know if they are used.

Is Redbox worth it? We looked at their current releases and it didnt look like there was much we didnt already see.

    * Or if you can tell me how its a good deal you can have the other five codes. Again, not sure if they are used or not.

We love redbox. Other rental places here charge 2.99 and up for one night and we can get it there for $1. They do take a little longer to get the newest movies (i think about a month) but for me to save $2 I don't mind waiting. :) Hope it helps.

I agree. I'd rather wait a few weeks and save some money but still get to see the movie. I tried Netflicks on our Playstation and that was cool to have the movies on demand but they never had the newer ones available. With the Redbox, you do get to see the newer movies just a few weeks later instead of eons.

Also, there are lots of free codes floating around and easy promos to get more. So sometimes I pay 1.00 and sometimes it's free. I think it's a good deal. Especially since they have them at Kroger and I go there all the time anyways.

Yeah, I like it for sure. We don't rent too often, but when we do it's nice. I think I've only had to actually pay for one since I've always had free codes.

We had a free code and then with the snow we had it for another day for $1 for How to train a Dragon.

We usually wait until the library has them for rent lol so we think it rocks.

We use Redbox all the time. Usually we rent something every week. Sometimes with a free code but usually we just pay the $1. I like that I can get the movie while I am out and about and then return it to any Redbox.

One other thing I love about Redbox is you can reserve movies online! So if there's something that's new that you really want, you can reserve it on the day you want. I may or may not have reserved Eclipse in my pajamas at 8am back in December.

I also like that there are 3 Redboxes really close to my house, so if one is out of what I want, I have other choices that are no further than another. And all 3 are at grocery stores, which is also a plus. There is a Redbox at a store by DH's work, so he can return them on his way in. I'm a big fan.

Some of the new releases are in there when they are released for sale. Just not many of them. Most are delayed though. I use redbox all the time. We usually get 1 or 2 a week. The customer service is awesome. We got one a few weeks ago that wouldn't play. I called and they gave me 2 free codes and credited the $1.

On a side note- Has anyone else seen the new double redbox machines? I saw one today at a Kroger I go to.

Sometimes it depends on which box you head to. I notice that some have more titles than others.

LOve Redbox. We have 1 local movie store and they charge 3.99 per movie. To expensive. We have family movie night once a week. We rotate in order who picks! Redbox and micro popcorn make this a cheap but fun family night!
