Pajamas for Christmas that made me blue - literally!!!
So.. my husband and kids went and bought be two sets of pajamas for christmas. It was the pants, top and hoodie - one pink set and one blue set. Not sure if I should mention the store/brand name but my husband spent over $200.00 for these 2 sets!!! They are nice but too much money. I wanted to return them but it hurt his feelings when I mentioned it so I decided to just keep them. I'll stop rambling...... last night I put on the blue set after work and wore them around the house. Took them off before getting into bed... (sorry TMI). Was running late this morning so I jumped up and threw on clothes got ready and left. When i got home and made my bed I noticed my white flannel sheets were blue!!!! I mean they were BLUE!!!! I was shocked and a little confused and then remembered I wore the Blue pajamas the night before!! OMG - so I went to the restroom and stripped off the clothes to find from my waist down I was blue! You could see exactly where they were at my waist all the way down to my heel. SO I jumped into the shower and scrubbed my body but no luck! Still blue!
So... fellow HCW readers, what do I do???? I have blue sheets and a blue body!!! Yikes! Totally freeking me out that this dye is soaked into my skin and I will forever be blue! My husband is now calling me smurfet. Not cool. I sent a message to customer service and I guess I can drive 30 minutes to the mall to return all 6 items but I feel like that is just not enough, am I wrong?? I will take any advise at this point. But please no smurf jokes, I dont think I can take any more!!!

What store and brand? If these are store brand pjs, I'd complain to the store's customer service. If they are not store brand, I'd complain to the company. That's just nuts. Have you washed your sheets? I'd mention the blue sheets, especially if it doesn't come out.

Victoria Secret! Shocking... I know! I have bought 100's of items from here and NEVER had a problem until now.
Havent washed the sheets yet, was waiting to here from the customer service to see if they can give some answers. I'm so disappointed and find it hard to believe that no one else has had this problem. I was just at the mall the other day and saw they had these same pajamas on display still.

Youch. I'd call CS tomorrow. I don't think you'd have a problem returning the pjs at the store, but CS needs to explain this and do something about the sheets.

Silly question. Were they made in China? Sometimes depends on what country they came from. Sounds like the dye isn't colorfast. Don't wash them in hot water. lol I'd be none too happy either.

I'm sorry this happened to you. I would wash each outfit (the pink and blue) by themselves to remove any excess dye. I would also call and let them know this has happened.

Re: Pajamas for Christmas that made me blue - literally!!!
Like others have said...it could be bad dye...or maybe the fabric wasn't rinsed enough in production and some excess dye was left and they just need to be washed a few times. Did you wash them before you wore them? I have had jeans that weren't rinsed well enough in production stain my legs when I didn't wash them before I wore them. And more recently a red Calvin Klein coat that still rubs off on my beige gloves just a tiny bit even though I did wash it once...probably be fixed with one more wash.
Either way...it still sucks! I haven't ever asked a company to pay for any kind of damages (your sheets) from their product, but for some reason I'm not thinking they will do anything but refund the pjs.
Maybe they will give you a gift card or something...
Oh and for the dye on your skin...try soaking in the bath (till you get pruny) and then scrub, rather than in a shower.

Did you wash them before using them?
