Your hubby done just what I do with my twins at walmart..
Thanks guys! All your advice was much needed! I am feeling much better today and have a better perspective on things.
Oh and tonight (I was so excited) he picked up all his toys without whining once. I put on a timer and he went as fast as he could go. My hubby said he went to Walmart with him today (I was at work) and my son wanted something he couldnt have and he cried all over walmart saying "Buzz, Woody!" ...he said people were looking at him but he just ignored him and got the stuff and got out.
He's really such a sweet kid, I feel bad for feeling so frustrated last week, but I guess everybody has those days. Thanks all for listening!![]()

my DD6 is a whiner and sometimes cries if she doesnt get her way.. then when the boys call her a cry baby/whiner she throws a fit starts crying and gets upset/ It is annoying but she has calmed down some since I explained to her that her crying all the time and whining is the reason they call her it.
My Kids Emilee and Stormyare my world. ..Have you Hugged yourself Today?
I did not read the other posts. but my son was the same way. you know when your in a store and you hear a kid screaming and your like wow that mom needs to control her kid! Well that was me once! now that my son is older hes not so bad when alone. if i bring both my kids out together well thats a whole different ball game. my kids seem to know they outnumber the mom when together! nothing seems to phase my son at all. my theory with him was that when he did speech therapy at 2 and then at 3 went to the elementary school for 3 hrs 3 days a week helped him. Being in a structured atmosphere and stuff. also well my son wasnt gonna act his terror self around strangers! hes going on 5 nw and is alot calmer! hes been there done that with whining , tantrums etc. tantrums are one thing you want to ignore. just let em wail out on the floor and dont acknowledge it wait till theyre done and move on! otherwise its a pain! fighing with themwhile theyre all flailing out just makes the situation worse in my opinion! Hopefully its a short phase for you! also its easier if both parents are on the same page with discipline!
When my son would whine for something I would pretend to not hear him. If he persisted, I would just say, "Sorry, I don't understand Whinese." and then continue to ignore him. The whining phase ended very quickly.
Yeah whining didn't last very long around me either. I will simply ignore a kid who whines. Mine or otherwise. Until you can speak to me like a normal human being, my ears aren't working properly. :D
