    Default RecycleBank Phone Recycling Program

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had problems with this program?

I'm having huge, huge issues with this program and it is slowly getting sorted out, but it is taking way too much time and energy to do for a few coupons I may get. The basics they are saying they never rcvd my phones and the two they did rcv are not as described. The company they contract with, Flipswap has truly been a wonderful help in getting things sorted, but what they are telling me makes RB look really shady... I'm just happy I haven't sent them my really expensive phone yet!!

I had a friend who got her credit very quickly...but she did not get as many points as RB said she would get. I sent my phone in 2 weeks prior to her and 1 month after she got her points, and 4 phone calls later, with no credit on the phone I sent...they did credit my account 300 points. I don't think it's RB, I think it's because the phones don't go directly to them. It was worth it...3 $1 coke q's, 2 $1 Simply Orange qs and a $4/20 CVS q...for a phone that was 5+ years old. Glad I didn't send in a 3000 pt phone, may not have gotten the credit. If you use swagbucks, they now offer the same service..may be worth trying them next time.
    If it isn't free.....it isn't for me!

See Flipswap told me that they received all the phones, they were all as described and they have no clue why RB was downgrading them. They also contacted RB (who they supposedly own or did own or are somehow in connection with) and said they would take care of everything for me. Two phones still haven't been credited properly, but I'm not sure I'll bother - they were older phones, still in excellent condition but only worth about 200pts combined cause of their age. I did get credited the 1700pts for the other two phones finally. I really don't think I will use them again. I think some of the Q's are great, but not worth it if I have to put this much fuss into it and it took almost 2 months to rcv the 2nd two phones that were sent with the first 2???

    Thanks for the reply!

I had an issue with Flipswap. I sent them a phone that was nearly new. I was forced to get a new one when Alltel merged with VZW. Anyway, I sent this like-new phone to them. The plastic was still over the keyboard and view screen and I used it only about 4 months. It took forever for them to credit me. The credit was less than they told me, so when I contacted them they told me it was not in its stated condition. In doing a little research online, I discovered this is their M.O. Consumer sends in a brand new or very good condition cell only to be told it's not in good shape. I think next time I'll do it through a different company.

It's weird that you had an issue with Recyclebank, Jen, because I've always had great service and fast shipping with them.
