Default Has anyone tried Acai Berry?

I wasn't paying attention while picking up yogurt last night and i grabbed one of these "acai berry cherry" yogurts. Well this morning i grabbed 2 cups of yogurt on my way out the door and i grabbed this acai stuff. Not sure what it was, i googled it (While eating it! LOL) and came across this "diet" with acai berry pills.

Reviews are up and down all over the board (meaning everyone who has tried it)

Before i go spend any ecb's to get it wondering if you have tried it and did it help for you?

Excersize and eating right i know will help you lose weight and i'm already doing that (well trying to eat right... i'm getting pretty ok at it...) but i have NO energy. Several reviews said it gave you energy out the wazoo.

What do you think? How did you like it?

I have only tried the juice - but I like it. I am not a good source of information though, because there are very few juices that I do not like!

The acai berry sort of "cleans" you out from what I've experienced. I think that is how it helps you lose weight, sort of regulates your system. I'm not much help, haven't used it for weight loss, just drank the juice with it in it before.

I have taken a nutrition class in college and we learned that acai is a superfood which means it is full of antioxidants and nutrients that eliminate free radicals from the body.free radicals cause ailments. if you want to try other superfoods all fruits/ vegetables that are deep purple, red or blue are superfoods and have a high antioxidant value. they are supposed to great for you. i don't know how the pills work but i have taken vitamin c which does help strengthen your immune system. if you have a shoprite near you this week they have some Natrol brand supplements on sale and there is a ip on their site for $3 off which would make them for about $.20 after coupon. i don't know all that is included in the sale but its a good deal if they have any you want to try. what brand yougurt is that anyway? it sounds good but i've never seen it. oh yeah also yummy are the juices like bolthouse and naked brands they are in the produce section. i think they make ones for energy they are sorta pricy like $3-$4 for a individual size but tasty and good for you. i don't know how the diet is but i would stick to real fruit like in the yoguert a lot of those things are gimmicks and once you stop taking them you gain it back . seriously it sounds cliche but a balanced diet is the best way to maintain healthy weight. hth

If you need energy...try CoQ 10.

You'll need at least 400 mg. The stuff is dang expensive. So at CVS I would only purchase it there if they had a bogo mostly I would go to Sam's or costco to purchase it.

But that stuff honestly in large amounts does work in boosting energy. It's also good for your heart too.

I've been raking the Acai and a multivitamin for two months. I have lost 8 pounds and have been feeling pretty good. The weight I lost was actually the leftover baby weight from baby #2 that has been hanging on for 21 months that I was okay with keeping so it was a pleasant suprise
