The other side speaks: "A Penny Saved ... Aw, Forget It" So I am reading the letters to editor in 11/16 issue of Time magazine and the last letter goes: A Penny Saved ... Aw, Forget It
Thanks, Joel Stein, for your awesome take on the ridiculous in life [Nov. 2]. Coupons are the worst kind of junk mail and a terrible waste of paper in our green economy--never mind the time waster they are in the saving, sorting, filing and waiting at the checkout counter. Think of the p.r. coup for the company that announces, "No more coupons!" I, for one, would buy that product on principle.

The Joel Stein article Ms. Silver was refering to appeared in 11/2 issue of Time, it was not an anti-coupon rant as much as it was a fluff piece about how Joel goes to Ikea for free kids breakfast and ends up spending hundreds of dollars buying furniture.
