Are you talking about his envelope system? His budget system? They whole 9 yards? Well, I have practiced the zero based budget, it is hard on my income since my income fluctuates from month to month. He has a system specifically for people that have a fluctuating income, but we are still juggling paying our min. payments since my husband is in school and I am a SAHM with two little kids. We have divided up how we decide to pay for things, I get 100 month to buy diapers, wipes, laundry soap, and all the HBA stuff. It is really hard to make it every month on a little budget, but we try to make it work. It is hard when you coupon to not spend a lot of money on really good deals even if its $5 for $50 worth of stuff. Sometimes I have to let good deals go because I cant get the money together. Dave Ramseys idea of SELL SOMETHING comes into play a lot at our house. I am always selling stuff on ebay so I can afford something else I need or want. The debt snowball is really good too since you pay one bill off and use that money to start paying another bill off. We struggle to make min. payments and this month we are finally paying off a personal loan which has a min. payment of 100 a month. We can now use that 100 to pay of our next debt. It will be rewarding, but it will take us 8 years to get out of debt since it took us that long to get into it. Oh WEll!! We will see how it goes once my husband graduates and has a real job.
