They scan it, write their initials on it, then leave it out for the manager to sign. They must have had a similar issue at that store. This is the same store that only allows one per transaction, and I rarely shope there, although it was once "my store" since it's 24 hour. Oh well, as they say, one bad apple can ruin the whole bunch, right?

I bought something specifically for the RR and as I reached into my pocketbook and turned around she was putting something in a zippered case. I could see red writing through the plastic like it was the back of a RR. Then I waited for my change and asked about the RR cause the machine didn't seem to be spitting it out. She immediately said, "Oh, I didn't know you were supposed to get a RR." She had me go to another cash register and re-ring the items to get my RR. That was very suspicious but I didn't report her or anything because I didn't know FOR A FACT if she took it, and I didn't want her losing her job over an accusation. I was gonna get DH to go in and buy the same thing and see if she did it again to confirm, but we were in a hurry. I haven't see her since then, so either I miss her shifts or she's not working there anymore.

| Re: Warning for Walgreens Employees I another board, someone said her favorite cashier gives her 50++ RRs when she comes in. A lot of us have to question that because she said its known to the SM and the DM even said it was okay She stands by her post that the DM is aware the cashier is giving away RRs earned by other customers.
If any cashier can manage to give away that many RRs to just one customer, I cannot imagine how many customers do not get the RRs that they rightfully earned. I am aware there are some cat machines that are far from the registers so it is possible that some customers do not realize they have earned catalinas which they do not get after the transaction. And if cashiers are allowed to give RRs earned by others like free suckers, how will the store know if they are not giving it to their family/friends for use at that store or other WAGs to get free stuff? For me, that is encouraging stealing knowing the policy at our stores is to give to customers the RRs earned and if they don't want it, these RRs are supposed to be torn/shredded and thrown in the trash immediately. Cashiers are NOT allowed to keep them for personal use or to give away to others as they wish.
For those working at WAG, isn't it a policy to tear up RRs if customers don't want them? OR are there stores where management allows cashiers to keep unwanted RRs for personal use? I have read stories where cashiers were fired for re-using RRs, so what more if they steal customers RRs?

Cashiers are to tear up RR that customers don't take. Whether is is a mfg RR or a RR for $ off the next purchase. If your cashier is pocketing the RR he/she should be terminated. It is considered stealing. IF the cashier is stealing RR's what else are they stealing from their store. Turn in any cashier ......either contact the store, or call the district office and ask for loss prevention. I have no sympathy for a cashier that steals RR and looses their job.
sorry to sound cold hearted, but they are messing with my profit sharing/retirement when they steal from the company I work for.

I believe that- my DH was bragging to his family about my couponing, and his cousin told him that she was too embarrassed to use a coupon.
I'd rather be embarrassed than broke and hungry!
