Coffee too. Years ago there was more coffee in the can. 13 oz maybe? versus the 11 oz you get now.

Actually, coffee used to come in one pound cans. Then they went to 13 oz. Now it's 11.

The one that bother's me is Ellio's frozen pizza - they used to advertise 1.5 lbs of pizza, then shrunk the pkg to 22 oz.

Coffee went from 1lb to 15oz before it shrunk to 13 oz.

Ice cream no longer comes in 1/2 gal cartons, they are 56oz now.

Yogurt cartons have shrunk steadily, Dannon and Yoplait especially. Columbia has stayed at 8oz cup.

I bought graham crackers today. They used to come in 16 oz packages--now they are 14.4 oz.

That drives me nuts. I thought the 6 oz ones were bad enough, but so many of the yogurt companies now have 4 oz containers, and charge just as much for them.

Winn-dixie brand ice cream still has a full half gallon. Was just on sale too, 4/$5, making it an even better deal.

Too bad they don't have much of a variety.

Pampers & Luvs wipes are also smaller than the previous 80 per tub. Some varieties have 77 wipes, and some have 72.

Jenn870 is on a distinguished road
Did anyon e else notice the downsize yet the rise in price?

I really don't know where to make this "rant" so if it isnt in the right place, I appologize ahead of time

I was out shopping and noticed the new look of the downy bottle. I personally wonder why a new look is needed, but hey, marketing is marketing. Upon further notice, the price has gone up .80 cents yet the amount of product has gone down by about 10 ounces. Now 10 ounces isn't a real lot, maybe 2-3 loads worth, but it irks me that the price is more for less product. Just wondered if anyone else had noticed.

A request also, is there a place on the site or anywhere else that will tell me who makes what product? As in name brand peanut butter, like jif, they make Jif, but (for instance) they also make oppygoopy peanut butter. Is there a list of "parent companies" who put out off brand names, yet the quality is near/same as name brand?
Thanks in advance
Jenn

Bandaid Character bandaids. 2 summers ago I stocked up when they were free at Big Y and there were 30 bandages in the box. Just stocked up again and some of the boxes have 25 and others are down to 20. (Same regular price as 2 years ago, at that store at least)

I have noticed it on everything pretty much! I went to walmart last night and I couldn't believe it! Everything I was buying had gone up since the last time I got it two weeks ago. It may not have been by much maybe 5-10 cents but it adds up! THEN my husband starting picking things up that where getting smaller. I don't know about everyone else, but our paychecks are not going up, and our tummy's are just as hungry (maybe thats why we need to loose a few pounds...)
