Ive been noticing 2 liter prices going up; but the 1.5 liters stay pretty consistent at .99, I think this is one way they get us. They try to keep a product at the "sweet spot" price level and hope we forget it used to be bigger. Same thing with the 20 cans. If you aren't paying attention, the size of a 20 pack case looks very similar to the 24 pack (non-cube style.)

I've also noticed the $1 fun snack packs of candy...you still get 8 and a lot of places still have them for a dollar. But the size/ounces of the candy inside get smaller.

Same thing with Totinos pizza. I remember years ago they were the size of my pizza pan and they steadily shrink over time. For a while they were about the size of a paper plate. But now they are at least an inch inside the plate.

I guess I'm showing my age, but, I remember when coffee came in a one pound bag. Now, it's all 11 or 12 oz. I noticed the Land O' Lakes margarine I bought yesterday was 15 oz, not a pound. For those of you who know how to make a "pound cake" from scratch, these new sizes would mess up your recipe. As I recall, it was a pound of flour, a pound of sugar, a pound of butter.

If they make those dish soaps any smaller, it's just going to be empty bottles on a shelf with instructions for customers to put something in them when we go down that aisle. We're going to owe them dish soap!

The 12oz bacon packages have been around a while now...but I could really stew about the price of meat all day long. $6-7 for not even a pound of bacon! Seems like everything except chicken is ridiculous. I like chicken, but I'd like to make something else sometimes.

Bacon. There's a rub. You can get a 12 oz. pack for $4-$5 of some brand or another. Wright's still packages their thick sliced in 1 1/2 pound sizes and it's about $10!!
