Best danged addiction I've had yet! Doesn't hurt anyone, most everyone around me reaps the rewards...even when I resell my overkill, 'cause those buying are getting it well below retail!

I got my sister into CVSing a little bit, she told me..you don't get this stuff for free, you work HARD for it! It just happens to be work I enjoy.

I have not seen a law that prohibits you from buying a product and reselling it even if you got it for free. I do know some products have those stickers that say "If you see it sold anywhere but here, to call" but they just want to squash the people that are selling them on the resale market. The only thing I have seen, can not be resold on would be like samples(ex: forumula can samples, but I see people selling them too). The law does not know how much someone paid for the item--it could be full price, or it could be nearly nothing, but how are they going to catch someone? They are definately not going to hunt me down to see that I got a flamless candle for close to free and then sold it(which I didn't because I couldn't find any either) but you know what I mean. :)

ok, I'm not reading this whole thread, in a hurry. but I did want to say.

It's no one's business what I buy or how much of it I buy. No one lives my life or experiences what I experience or needs what I need and when.

While my personal limit is not much compared to others, it's not my job to belittle them or put them down for getting more.

And in my opinion, to associate someone's stockpile with gluttony is putting them down and belittling them.

WOW! So a less desirable area of town would create an idea that it's ok to have that on those items because of those people? LMAO stealing is stealing. Doesn't matter what CVS, what side of town, what the racio and socio-economics of the area are. Preventing the criminals from reselling the items later apparently only is an issue on the bad side of town. Thanks for the clarification.

Enjoy your shopping but I'd double check on that getting free and reselling - laws generally prohibit that.
I believe thecoop took it so close to heart because you referred to his/her's (sorry coop) post in the other thread.

That sticker is there to prevent another store from buying a loss leader and stocking their shelves with it. Once a consumer purchases an item they can do what they want with it.

One comment I will make is that what I do with the items I buy, once they are in my possession is none of thier buisness what I do with them. If I get them cheap, free, or pay full price if I want to re-sell them that is not breaking any law that I am aware of.

If I see a rack of clothing on clearance at JC Penney I could, if I so desired, buy up every last stitch on the rack and sell them on ebay (where do you think some of those folks get that stuff?) same goes for free shampoo, batteries (which I am swimming in still thanks to Kmart deal this summer).

There are a few things out there prohibited or controlled by law like booze, ciggarettes, stamps (I think), but the rest is fair game.

I hate to say this out loud but sometimes I think rants about how much others are getting is a bit of sour grapes because they missed out on the deal themselves. Really once you have done this coupoining/deal hunting thing for a while you learn that you will miss deals, and that another deal will come along, and that it is not the end of the world.

Each state is different so as soon as I find something on it i'll be happy to post. Even if it's not a law per si, it's still shows a low level of integrity.

Sorry, that's crap to me. No offense to anyone, but you can sit there and spout that all day long, I don't give a crap about it.
