Default Not hot under the collar, but had to duct tape myself down Saturday

I was so out of sorts on Saturday!! My son played in a football tourney this weekend. They were selling Powerade and the kids were buying them up left and right! And throwing the bottles along with the lids in the trash cans!!! Do you know how hard it was for me NOT to go digging through all of the 20 or so 55 gal drum trash cans they had sitting around the fields????? AAAARRRRGGGG!!!! :hectic1: I was going nuts sitting there knowing all of those Coke Reward points were going to waste!!!!!!!! I did pick up a few off of the ground, but didn't go digging... hmmmm.... wonder if those full cans are still sitting there? LMAO!!!

Years ago I would have been one of the ones throwing away, even though I always bulk shopped , saved etc. Now I would be the one with a girlfriend , or my DH if I could talk him into ( yeah right ...)a flashlight ,gloves and a bag.

Next game bring your own recycle bin with a sign: "recycle Powerade bottles here". Everyone will think you are quite the environmentalist.

I picked up codes at the baseball field last year. I finally told DS to tell his friends to save the caps for him..... and they did.

Double points on 12 packs the 25th.

I love the concession stands where they sell the bottles and cans of Coke products. Some will throw away the cardboard container or the plastic wrap from the multi-pack right where I can find it. 20 or 25 points for me!

my sister brings home the boxes/plastic wrap when she stocks the cooler at her work. they used to throw them away, and now they all save points I think!

Yeah, I would have wnted to go digging but probably would not have.

I'd bring my own box and trash bags as well. We used to do it in college for the recycle money since our college didn't have dedicated recycling. My roommate used to make enough (between 1992-2002) for gas and tolls to visit home or her boyfriend every week a couple hours away.
