I actually check my apt's recycle bins every so often, because there are many coke drinkers (as well as beer drinkers) and I want the codes I know they don't use, as well as the UPC's from the boxes, btfe and other things!!!

Rest assured, you're not the only one, and if it were in MY neighborhood, I'd get it!!!

I've been tempted to dig through trash bins during soccer games! I even told DS to take the caps when his friends were done with their Powerade at the games but he won't do it! I do have him searching aisles at the stores for coupons though. It's a bit embarrassing to hear him yell, "Look mom, coupon, coupon!"...at every single thing sticking off the shelves! DH is trained to give me all his caps.

I did get lucky and tore some coke codes off my neighbor's recycling. If they were friendlier, I would ask them to save them for me.

I have no problem picking them up from the side of the road...course I then dispose of the bottle correctly too! LOL
( I do this with cans too..we get paid for those!)

if it's on the TOP of the trash pile then yes I probably would...but I don't think I'd dig...

I like the above poster that said to bring your own bin....recycle the bottles and get the codes of the caps...sounds like a win win to me!

I feel this way at the zoo. I wanted to stick my hand in all the cans so bad~!~

Never have i thought of it like that, now i will when i am out at events like these mentioned, LOL

My dh would have been in the trash cans grabbing the lids! He does it all the time and has our kids "trained" to spot lids and tell us about them. He does wash his hands and uses hand sanitizer but it does get old when we're somewhere and he's peeking into the trash cans.

lol, they sold coke products at my sons baseball field, i usually tried to hang around till i was the last one there and me and my boyfriend would skim the top of the trash cans and get the tops, if i see one on top at a store i do the same.. he does it too and thinks its great!!!

disney sells coke products too, and we are going in aug.. dont think i wont be skimming the top there, lol
