I still think it's odd...
They were excited to be pregnant.
The requests for pregnancy tests were way up.
And the # of students more than quadrupled?
Something is fishy, IMO.
The teenagers are idiots. They need to put the TV remote down and see the real world.
The parents are idiots. Where were they?!
Kids will be kids. They were just reminding themselves they're "alive and human".
This wouldn't have happened if birth control were readily available.
Tihs wouldn't have happened if practical sex education classes were taught.
anyone see GMA today... It said the Girls made the PACT AFTER they were already Pregnant.... so they would have someone to help them and really understand what they were going through....that maybe 1 or 2 girls did it before their pregnancie sto "fit in". Still this is a very sad story.....
Amy S ...sometimes I can spell funny. It has to do with my disability from my service in the US Marines...

I was pregnant at 17. It sounds sad, but I 'm glad I miscarried. I had my first at 23 with my husband whom I started dating 6 months after that pregnancy loss. I'm glad we waited, but all aside, you'd be surprised at how quickly you CAN get pregnant and w/o your parents knowing. I had strict parents who hardly let me do anything, so you could use your imagination as to where I got pregnant.
Aside from that situation though, these girls dont' know what they're getting themselves into. It's really really sad, and I can't help but feel sorry for them but at the same time...want to sew them shut. I was watching Baby Borrowers last night and I was "LOL"ing when the little princess said her ribs hurt. Just wait till you actually have a real baby stuck in them ribs.
If they think the experience is the same for everyone from the same age group, they are dead wrong.
One parents would tolerate this fact better then other, give more support as financial as emothional then other, one girl health is different then her peer, one "daddy" is more supportive and helpful then the other, etc. etc..
So if my baby cried all night long keeping me awake I will be more up to helping my friend who's baby did exact same thing at the very same time? If my friend's baby got sick do I really want to come and help taking care of her, exposing my own child to that infection?
Stupid kids, that's only I can say.
Does anyone see what I saw? GMA, other talk shows.... these kids got exactly what they were looking for with these pregnancies. They got their 15 minutes of fame in the Youtube world of today. What's even more sad is that on GMA, the interviewer was talking to them all nicey nicey like "aw, it's so cute that you're going to have a baby..." etc. That's the worst part of it. They're getting treated like celebrities, which, given the attitudes of many kids today, may end up encouraging others to do the same.
Yes, there was a pact. Sadly there was a pact. Several of the girls admitted to it.
At least one more girl recently was found to be pregnant, wonder how many more will?
Sadly, now that they're starting to have the babies, real life is about to hit. Hopefully, like another poster has stated, these girls will have someone in their lives who are going to be there to help them in their struggles.
