Tax Stimulus package looks like it's going to pass

The bill passed in the Senate.... does anyone understand what the bottom line ends up being, with how much the checks are going to be? They have added provisions for senior citizens and disabled veterans. Is that in addition to whatever else those people would be getting? (DH is a disabled veteran).

my understanding if a husband and wife file taxes jointly you will get back $1200.00 (jointly meaning the husband and the wife sign even if one doesnt work)
Whether or not if the wife works and you file jointly you should get back $1200 plus $300.00 per child.

I guess both spouses don't actually have to have a paycheck coming in to qualify. Seems fair to me.
