    Default Turbotax

Does anyone know how reliable that is? I mean whatever they calculate is that correct? Has anyone had their taxes done with Turbotax and than the IRS send them a different amount?

    Please answers.

We have used TurboTax in the past, and it was fine. However we really prefer TaxAct. We got back the amount that Turbo said we would. Does that help?

I've been using TurboTax since 2000 and have always gotten the right amount back and never had any issues with the IRS.

I've never used TaxAct, but I know a lot of people that use that and really like it.

We used it for years with no issues. Changed to Taxcut because one year turbo tax had a glitch in it...

Thank you. Sounds pretty good so far but has anyone ever not gotten what the program calculated. I mean was there a mistake in the program?

always got the amount it said we would get.

one year turbo tax didn't calculate the government stimulus check that everyone had been sent correctly. Since we had had friends that had that problem we went to taxcut instead.

As far as I know there is no glitches this year.

you can go online and do the free program first. compare it to the other free programs.

All these do-it-yourself tax prep products are as good as the information you provide. So you should have a good understanding of what you are doing and how your answers will affect your bottom line.

I used Turbo,Tax act, and H&R Block soft and they all worked fine. However the fact that IRS didn't come back to any of you doesn't mean you got the highest refund you entitled to.

After you file your taxes you can have them checked by H&R Block FREE this year (normally cost $29 and called Second Look). If they find mistakes and you want them to amend it you pay for doing an amended return. If they don't find any mistakes you get piece of mind and a standard guarantee that will cover any IRS interest or penalty if Block made a mistake.

We have used Turbo Tax the past three years and it has worked out fine for us. We have always done the free edition and we chose that again this year but after we did our taxes we ended up having to pay Oh well it was still cheaper than going anywhere else.
