You didn't file state or federal taxes? You didn't file in either state? I would go to the websites for where you didn't file-they should have something explaining how to do it (the federal website is irs.gov). You will owe penalties (sorry to have to tell you) and late fees. You may even want to consult an accountant. Good luck!

Did you file the federal but not the states? Or not file any? You can go online to irs.gov for prior year federal forms. Most states also have forms online. If your return is simple (w2 income only), you should be able to file it yourself. If you didn't owe taxes, there is no penalty for not filing since they owe you money. If you did owe taxes, you will have to pay the taxes and there will be a penalty. The best thing to do is take care of it ASAP so the clock quits running. Don't panic, though. I filed three or four years back taxes for more than one client over the years. Usually, it's not as bad as you fear.

Oregon has a special form if you lived in Oregon for only part of the year. You can look on-line or call a tax guy to get it.

Just file your taxes for that year normally. The IRS will add any additional penalties or interest onto your bill. It is also important to know that if you are eligible for a refund in the year that you did not file taxes, you will not incur any form of penalty.
