Is it a YMMV thing to get overage? I went today and bough 13 individual Kraft string cheese at .52 each and had coupons for 1/1. First the cashier didn't want to accept them because the picture showed a large package but I pointed out that it did not have a size restriction on it so she called someone over and she said to just adjust the coupons down to .52. At that point, I was just happy to get them for free but wondered if I should have insisted on overage.

For me overage is always YMMV....I have gotten a few cents once in awhile, but I never plan on it...at Target or any store.

Thank you. I don't shop much at Target so I wasn't sure. Like I said I didn't want to fuss because I was happy just to get them for free especially after the cashier tried to tell me I couldn't use them on the singles.

Not sure. She didn't even try to scan the first one after she looked at it. When she was given the go ahead to price adjust it down, for some reason she just went in and changed all the prices of the cheese to zero.

My Target won't give overage. They also won't let me use coupons for trial/travel sizes.

Needless to say, I take most of my coupons to Walmart, because they give overage, and they let me use coupons on small sizes (though last time I tried to use $1/1 on travel size Tide, they said they don't allow that one).

?? So, instead of scanning the Qs and adjusting THEM down to $0.52 (so they could get reimbursement), she adjusted the price of the CHEESE??? and didn't scan the Qs ... wierd.

I cashiered at a store for a while, years ago. Whenever something didn't "seem right," or a supervisor told me to do something a bit "off," I always wrote a note on the register tape and initialed it. -- Figured if they ever wanted to write me up for anything, I'd tell them to "pull the tape!" (course, don't know how long they keep those tapes, especially now with everything being computerized.)
