Thanks for the comprehensive list - very useful when looking for overage.

Default re: Target Trial Sizes And Everyday Low Prices

I went to Supertarget today.

he trial size Secret was only $.48 each. I had a coupon for $1.00 off 2 (overage $.04).

I also got St. Ives Body Wash (3 oz). The price was $.99. I had a $1.00 coupon (overage $.01).

Then I got the All Small and Mighty 2oz for free as well (cost $1.00 but I had $1.00 coupon).

All three coupons beeped, but luckily I had a nice cashier. She reread the coupons to make sure trial sizes were okay (which they were) and she made it work. I bought 2 greeting cards and the overage went toward them. I love coupons!!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. This is extremely helpful for me. I do know that there is a $2/1 any size Aveeno lotion product IP. It gives you $1.01 of overage.

I am in Tuscaloosa and have used Q's in both the Tuscaloosa ST and the McCalla T without problems. I would speak to someone about this or get a copy of the coupon policy. To me, it seems that if the coupon does not say 'TRIAL SIZES EXCLUDED', there shouldn't be any problems at all!! Not to mention that fact that (correct me, someone, if I'm wrong...), they get the face value of the coupon- for instance a $1.00 Q you are using on a product that costs $0.97- you should get the full $1 credit, not just $0.97 as they will get the full $1. JMO...

I just get feed up sometimes having to explain their coupon policy to the cashiers , today I went and had a few items to get for Thanksgiving dinner , had my coupons all in order and decided to get one stinking Tide travel size had the $1.00 coupon and wouldn't you know it that's the one she decided I couldn't use , first told me she would not give this to me free, then said the pictures on the coupon didn't match what I was getting and then told me that they (cashiers) get in trouble for cashing them, so I said fine keep it took my coupon back and told her I was going to the CS desk and talk to them she grab the coupon back and rang it thru with no problem no apologizes and a whole line of people looking at me like I'm nuts .

I recently went to target with the buy 2 johnson's red cross items and save $3 printables, All small and mighty, and a few other REALLY good buys. EVERY coupon beeped, which frusturates me because I know i am using the coupon correctly. The cashier sent them through with an attitude, but what really got me is after I cashed out she threw away all of my coupons ($32 worth!). I told her, those are valid coupons. She said you are only aloud to use one coupon per purchase, pointing at the bottom of the coupon. I know I am new to couponing but I thought that meant you can only use one coupon per item. Either way, she basiclly told me I stole all that stuff by throwing away the coupons which was my form of payment! It just made me so mad. Why would she do that? The store would have gotten reimbursed and she needed to have the coupons in her drawer to balance...I would think. After that I am seriously rethinking using my coupons at Target. :shrug7:

Default re: Target Trial Sizes And Everyday Low Prices

I've had several difficult experiences trying to use my coupons with sample items at Target.

I used 13 coupons for Mr Clean magic erasers. There is another thread about this. Anyway, the price on the wall was .48, but they ring up at .99, so you really have to watch the ring ups. The coupons are for .50 off, and it was a pain for me to get the prices adjusted even though the sample isle price is clear as day. Some cashiers will push it thru, others need verification.

Last time I went, I got 17 kotex from the sample isle using my .99 off ANY Kotex product, and the cashier gave me stink about the coupon not being for that type of kotex. Well I showed her the coupon's wording and said that it says ANY Kotex. You sometimes have to be a ***** back. Sorry. They just get mad when they see how smart we are! HA!

I usually purchase a few other things so I'm not in the red and it looks like I'm actually buying something.

(That time I bought the kotex I also bought 2 of the johnson and johnson mini first aid kids using 3/1 isp coupons and the lady was not pleased. Oh well.)

i'm sorry you went through that but not all cashiers there are bad.when she thought that you are only allowed to use one coupon why did she push it threw in the first place and then throw it away, one per purchase means one per iteam perchased other coupons say one per transaction like the pediasure coupons or one per customer when they want to limit the use of coupon on certain iteams. i think she doesn't know what she is doing and just cost the store alot of money that they would have got back plus 8 cents for each coupon you didn't do anything wrong so don't feel bad bad she should get in trouble when her drawer doesn't add up because she threw away the coupons which gives them back money. a manager should know about her actions because that is just wrong.i have been shopping at target for 8 years now and don't usually have problems with coupons at target because i ask if i can use it on trail sizes as long as it says any and doesn't exclude trail sizes .i was told though that in order to use my coupons for those i have to buy something else with the trail size iteams because they cannot give me money back and the register seems to freeze up when below zero so the other iteam takes the overage and you end up getting a discount on that too but other times they adjust the coupon so you still get your things free . it depends on the store so either way its still good.
