Thumbs Down NKY - Florence, KY TARGET

Right now I am so MAD!!!

I started couponing at the end of 2010. So far I’ve been pretty lucky not to experience very many problems. But that seemed to end today!

*Now if I’m wrong, please say so*

    TARGET:
So last year about this time around V-Day, KY Personal lubricants had a Target Q and a Man Q. My husband and I went to Target in Florence, KY to do some shopping. At the register, I handed over my stack of Q’s and the cashier turned on her light for a manager.
Enter the “Lube N.A.Z.I. ” (Jerry Seinfeld; Soup N.A.Z.I.)
This woman began to argue that I could not use a coupon on the Couples package of KY. Then tried to say I couldn’t use a Target Q and a Man Q together… Long story short, another manager came over and approved it after I explained their own coupon policy to them. Lube N.A.Z.I. was PISSED!!! She made the rest of the checkout interaction as horrible as possible and every time I go there she goes out of her way to be rude to me.
I have never had an issue using more than one “like” Target coupon on multiple items until yesterday.
I stopped at the service counter to credit Q’s on my receipt from the day before. Two $2/1 L’Oreal and two $1/1 12pk of soda (Dr.Pepper.) The service counter gladly gave me the refund. I do my shopping and head to the checkout with twelve more 12pk cases of Dr.Pepper in my cart. Walking past the rows of cashiers Lube N.A.Z.I. spots me an follows me to the checkout area. As I’m standing in line I see her lean in whispering to the head checkout manager on duty and then she begins pointing directly at me. During my transaction my cashier turns on her light when I hand her my stack of Q’s. The head checkout manager walks over and before she even looks through the coupons starts telling me that I cannot use them. I can only use one, per person, per day, and it’s printed on the Q. I politely pointed out that I’ve never had a problem before and in fact was just credited at the service counter for the 2 purchased yesterday. She started saying that is not true and that they have never allowed more than one “like” Target Q and refused to look at the receipt. She doesn’t know who (cashier) would be doing that but it was a mistake and it has always been that way and they always enforce their policy.
I almost lost it! But thought better and walked away.

You can only use one Target coupon in a transaction, per the wording on the coupon.
But that doesn't mean they can't be courteous about it.

Not true. The printed IP's usually say one per transaction, but the insert coupons do not say that on the ones I've had. I don't have any current insert Target ones to see what they say, but You should be able to use as many Target inserts/MF as you have items.

If they're IP's, then they can limit you to one per transaction. You "should" be able to do as many transactions as you want, but I understand some stores have managers that make up their own rules. Target Corp. will just say it's up to the manager.

The Dr. Pepper Qs are IPs, so that's what I figured she was using.

Yes, the Q's are the IP's.
But my Target has always allowed shoppers to use multiple.
(Ex: 8 boxes of cereal and 8 Target Q's)
The only time I have ever experienced a problem is with this particular person, when she is acting as a cashier, lead cashier manager, or in the store period.

I'm just frustrated that this person goes out of thier way to be mean to me.

Also that the 2nd girl just went along with it. Instead of saying "I'm sorry for any inconveience or confusion, we are trying to work with coupons or couponers the best we can, but we are going to follow the exact wording on the coupon."

That's way better than looking me in the face and lying to me that Target has never ever allowed more than one coupon, and insinuating I'm lying, etc...

I'd be glad to bring in my reciepts from the last 1year+ to show I'm not lying ;)

As previously stated the IP's are 1 per transaction. HCW's stance is if a store does other than follow their own policy then good for the shopper but please do not share that info here.

I can understand being upset by the way things were handled; sounds like a bit of diplomacy was in order. However; the fact that an employee is now trying to enforce the stores Corp. Policy is a good thing.
