Christmas markdowns timeline ???

Not sure if things will go to 90% anymore. I was at a target in Minnesota the other day waiting for some body wash to go below 50 and and i saw this stocker, mark them and dump it into a cart. I asked if she was going to reduce it further and was told that they donate stuff to goodwill that can be used- so they won't be reducing stuff as much.

I've been to a Target every day this week. It's been 50% each time. On Tuesday, the employees were loading up all the Christmas trees saying they were donating them to Goodwill!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was 2 days after Christmas. Wow.

about a week after Halloween an stocker told me that they won't be going below 70% anymore. They loose too much money she said. I guess donating the stuff is a better write off then letting it go to 75% or more. I haven't been since the 27th so I'm hoping to find more than 50% today. all my glade and airwick coupons are expiring tomorrow so I am hoping to find some marked down. they weren't marked down at all on the 27th

The 3 around me went to 90% off at Halloween, so I'm still holding out hope they will for Christmas...and that there will actually be some stuff left...ha!

the hot spot was 75% at my store today but it was all gone.The big Christmas stuff was at 50% still but it was picked over and not much was left but the bags.

Our target went to 70% yesterday when we were there. They still have a TON of stuff though, so I'm hoping they might go 90%. They have two full aisles of dollar bins and 4 aisles of toys marked to clearance and 6 aisles of Christmas! Can't find a Christmas tree there, but everything else is still fully stocked! I was shocked. I haven't seen our target go to 90% in some time - but it does show up at the local Goodwill. But it seems like they have a lot of stuff to donate - so we'll see. Either way at Target or Goodwill, it works for me :)

My Target was at 70% today on most but only 50 on the good candylike M&Ms. One sign was laying on the shelf under some items and when I picked it up to scoot it over I noticed one side said 70% off and the other said 90% off so I think everything will go 90% off soon!

We are at 70% here now and our stores (went to 2) were craaaaazy. People were buying like it was 90% off. Crazy-wild. I guess 70% is the new 90%??? But the odd thing was there were a ton of 4 ft pre-lit xmas trees there and no one was touching them.

Ah pooh! I really thought they might go 90% off today (Sunday) but still holding at 70.

When I worked at K Mart, we tried donating items, once. Only once because people bought them for cheap at Goodwill or wherever it was we donated them to and then returned them to our store to try to get full price.
