Target's new policy to take into effect August 1
I was on a another board (I know... gasp) and a topic was started that had me a bit concerned... several members reported that they were told this weekend about a new policy target was going to put into effect starting August 1st..
Only 5 LIKE coupon PER DAY to cut down on "extreme" couponers and to limit shelf clearers (per a manager at a Target location). Now another member said she was told 6 Like coupons per day... Can anyone confirm if they were told this? I don't use TONS of coupons but I've been using 10-20 coupons especially on target/MQ matchups. This will seriously hinder my shopping at Target if it is true.

Confirmed in Cinncinati, Ohio store. I am North of there, but a lady on the board was told this yesterday as it supposedly goes into effect tomorrow. I was hoping it was a per manager thing hence why I was hoping to get feedback from members here.

Re: Target's new policy to take into effect August 1
I talked to another couponer in walgreens today and she said, that Target wouldn't let her use more than one like MQ in a transaction.....I didn't even say anything, she just came out with it!
I'm shocked.

we have only 1 Target around and we're in WM country so this is good news for me and I welcome it with open arms
it doesn't mean the shelf clearer-resellers won't wipe the shelves BUT at least they may have to work harder for it. after all for those who are determined, there is no obstacle big enough for them to overcome.

I was wondering about Ohio stores... I called my Target and they didn't know although they didn't offer to ask anyone either. Going into the store tomorrow... Guess I will find out then

This may be true at your specific store, since the managers are allowed to implement coupon policies as needed. I would follow the target coupon faq found on their site otherwise, as this may be a store specific thing until otherwise noted by corporate.
