I have always spent more money in Target than anywhere else, coupons or no coupons. That's why I don't go there often. Try hitting up the clearance racks more often, it helps keep your oop down a little better!
I love Target. I used to be a manager there. Their products are of good quality and (even without couponing) affordable. But, since I've started couponing, I've noticed that Target is my highest out of pocket transaction. I use store and manu coupons on the same items, and i am getting a lot of cheap and even free stuff, but i'm so confused as to why i'm still spending more than $50 a transaction??? I've obviously got to do more research and plan better but is anyone else having the same issue?

Pre-plan, stick to your list & my little trick is to stop before check out and carefully look at what is in your cart. Make sure you (or your kids) didn't put things in your cart that weren't on your list, don't need or don't have Qs for. (Do we really need those 5 things from the Dollar Spot even tho they r just $1 each???) : )
Also, I prefer Target to WM or KM, at least in my area, it is cleaner.
I go to a Super Target, and because they have EVERYTHING at good prices, I find it so hard to stick to my list. Especially when I pass by their clearance section.
Always ISO of vegetarian/vegan product coupons, capri sun and baking supplies. A publix shoppper, whose store takes Target and Whole foods as competitors. Always have extra of cereal, coffe and laundry products. My Wishlist My Have List
I can't agree with everyone, if I go to target I have to go alone! Or with my mother cannot take hubby along, he always wants to get everything I don't have a coupon for. We always ed up spending like $50 ore than we are suppose to, my things always have coupons, his things never!
I am a newbie to couponing and so far my highest out of pocket is at target. My target recently added produce and a wider food selection and because of their great prices I get items there that my family uses which lowers my grocery store out of pocket. With more research and practice I know I can save more. I average around 50-60 % at Target
I sometimes spent more at Target because of unexpected finds on clearance or other true bargains that I couldn't afford NOT to buy. Flash drives for .97, belts for a buck, flip flops for .50, that sort of thing. It didn't bother me because I was just that much further ahead in my Christmas, birthday, or whatever, shopping.

i'm glad i'm not the only one spending more at target!!! thanks a lot guys. i'll try to plan more. i pretty much have a decent stockpile, so i've been trying to NOT buy anything that's more than $1 with coupons. it's kind of hard because you still see SOME good sales, even though they arent $1 or free, it may be the cheapest i'll ever find it and i have a coupon for it! if you have anymore tips to keeping my target bill down, i'd love to hear it. and i'm a sucker for clearance. maybe if i plan better, then the money i save somewhere else can be used towards any extra clearance i find at target!
I spend a lot at Target but I have also saved a lot there.
I mostly shop the clearance end caps and have gotten some wonderful items using coupons. I recently got my son a ton of body wash on clearance using coupons made it even cheaper.
I try to stack Target web coupons and manufacturer coupons if possible.
I may spend $40 there but that is after saving almost that amount using coupons.
Another way I save there is using the Target debit card. It saves me 5% off my order which is almost the cost of my sales tax.
