I know that IF you get a duplicate receipt it will say duplicate and most rebates require the original receipt(no copies, no duplicates), not to mention whether or not it is morally right to do.
Has anybody had success in asking Target for a duplicate receipt? Wondering because there are a couple of MIR's calling my name....
Thanks!

I didn't see a moral question here. It was simply a matter of not splitting up a $100+ transaction. If I am meeting all purchase requirements for all MIR's, I'm not seeing a problem. I've seen other posts where folks are getting duplicate receipts (not necessarily @ Target) because one transaction meets purchase requirements for more than one MIR. I think I may have sent in store produced duplicate receipts and haven't had issues with the processing. I thought it meant that you must have a CRT that the store produced that included their contact info, etc., not a photo copy or just a register tape with prices and no item detail (I've seen those like at "off price" or closeout stores).

This has been discussed on here a few times, quite a few rebate companies will take a duplicate receipt when asked, but I would just ask first to make sure which places will take a dup. and get their name or save the email just in case!
like foggierbard said I am pretty sure it will say duplicate on there so it could get rejected even with the ok but if you have proof you were told yes, you're good to go.
There are legitimate reasons to ask for duplicates and use the same receipt for multiple rebates. I have done it myself. The biggest one is not wanting to do 4 different transactions. Not everyone is comfortable with holding up a line.
But, just to put it out there, getting duplicates to do the same rebate over and over of course wouldnt be ok. Kate, I know thats not what you were asking but I wanted to make sure it was said b/c not everyone coupons or rebates the same way.
