Target Toy Clearance??

I know that Target has the big toy clearance in July, but I just heard there is also one in January as well....does anyone know when that usually happens?? Thanks!!

Stuff is already being moved in my store and the 30% signs are up. Let's hope people have the wherewithal to hold out for 50-75%. Esp. for the legos

When I was at Target the day after Christmas, I noticed a TON of clearance in the toy aisles. I did not notice what percentage off most of it was, as I was not looking at/for toys, but, it looked like at least half of the toy stock was on clearance.

I can't find it now, but I remember looking at the thread in late Nov. to check out the dates, and they were earlier than I remembered. Maybe as early as Jan. 7? I'll go see if I can find that thread again...

The clearance will start soon but the 75% usually happens the last week in January. Can't wait!

I saw thomas the train sets that matched up with the $10 coupon, they were at 30% reg. price was $40 I think. Is the coupon still good?

I would guess Jan 20 or 27th. I'll be checking on the 20th to make sure. :

Here's the previous dates for my store......My store usually marks toys down on Thursday, with the exception of last year.

Toys 08
Jan. 10th, 2008 = 75%
Toys 09
Jan. 15th, 2009 = 75% on MOST toys some still 30-50%
Jan. 29th, 2009 = 75% on remaining toys
Toys 10
Jan. 15th, 2010 = 75% (Friday)

I am eagerly awaiting the 50-75% sale too! My kids are all summer birthdays so I hope to stock up on a few things now for them! Then in July (which is after their bdays) I will stock up on Christmas stuff.

I did most of the 7yr olds shopping this last July. Our budget was $75 for Christmas for him and I am positive he got about $150 worth of stuff because of the sales (a few things I bought closer to Christmas at....*gasp* full price. lol)
