News Story: Target Accused Of Ripping Off Coupon Users

Target needs to state clearly on the signage for the gift cards that the amount is deducted from the total cost if this is how they want to handle gift cards in the future.

I don't think that this was the intended result of their "update". My opinion is that it is just another VERY nasty side effect of HORRIBLE programming. I tried the deal today and of course it all rang up wrong. Don't think I'll bother again. I can find other places to use my coupons and spend my money. If you do chose to work this deal stand your ground. Use your coupons correctly and be firm. Don't let anyone treat you poorly, your money pays their salary. It's obvious, to me at least, that Target has no intention of fixing this anytime soon. After all, it's been months. I'll find other places to shop.

The aforementioned incident marks the first issue I've experienced with Target in some time. I started to show family members how to coupon with this company; I am going to back off. I fear the family members will experience a similar episode and scale back their money savings efforts.
