Question about area rug Target coupon

The one that says "25% off area rug purchase of $50 or more"

Does this mean that if I buy 3 area rugs that are on clearance and are about $35 each that I will get 25% off the entire area rug purchase order (all three combined)?

Or will it not go through because the rugs are not $50 each therefore each individual rug purchase does not qualify for the discount?

I would interpret it as a total purchase of 50.00. If they meant off of one rug only, then the wording would be something like "25% off any one area rug 50.00 or more".

tried it today and the supervisor said it meant per rug.

That's not what the coupon says. It says "25% off area rug purchase of $50 or more." Not 25% off one area rug $50 or more. So you should be able to use it on any purchase that totals more than $50.

I agree, I think I'm taking my receipt back to customer service and complaining.

They refused to let my mom use this coupon at her Target the other day. She was trying to buy two rugs, that totaled $60. They told her that it was off of one. So she went out to the car and called Target Corp and they told her the same thing. When she got home, she emailed them to see if she'd get a different response. Hopefully she hear's back soon.

well, when I bought my three rugs (purchase was well over $50), they would only take one coupon because only one of them was over $50 alone. But then the cashier attached it to one of the 39.98 rugs. When I went to cs they wouldn't re-ring it to attach to the $50+ rug and refund the difference. A week or so later I decided that two of the rugs I got didn't match and returned them. I asked the (not so nice) cs woman about why the coupon attached to the lesser priced rug when the coupon said $50 or more and she... well, wasn't so nice about it. I found another rug at another target on clearance for $48.xx and another rug clearanced for 6.xx and when I handed the cashier the coupon, the 25% came off both rugs.

I don't get it.
