Target & the BOGO Venus & Herbal Essences

There is! There is!! The Target I shop at has never given me any problem. :shrug7: Though I usually seem to get the young boy cashiers that don't give a crap. When I used the Buy razor get body wash free (x2) Q, he actually gave me the razor free. Which gave me about an extra $4 off.

Mine neither! I shop at a Phoenix store and was in recently and used my Gillette $4 off coupon to buy one of the razors that was on the cardboard-backed packages (the ones for $4.99 and have no replacement blades in them). The package itself had a different $4 off peelie on it, but with different stipulations (you had to also purchase the blade replacement pack in order to get the $4 off). I had 2 Dove Mens+Care body wash coupons for $1.50 off each, and when I took my order up to the cashier, she pulled the peelie off, and scanned it! I told her that the peelie was to be used with the purchase of the replacement blades, but she shrugged it off, took ALL of my coupons (including the $4 off coupon I had) and charged me $2.45 for my entire order! With a grin on her face, she told me that she never had any previous problems applying the coupons that way!

Needless to say, I was a VERY happy Target-eer!

They must be cracking down on coupons at Target lately b/c I don't normally have a problem, but I was there on Saturday and bought the following:

2 Smuckers Uncrustables
used 2 of the $1 off coupons
2 Dove Ultimates
used 2 of the $2 off coupons

Had my hubby double-check my purchases b/c I hate being embarrassed at the cashier for having the wrong coupon....had to check out at the Customer Service b/c of the crowd and the 2 cashiers at the desk EXAMINED my coupons for like 10 minutes before they even scanned them (which went through without a hitch) but they reading the fine print on all four of them, um hello, there are two of each coupon...it was so rude, I'm liking Target less and less these days, almost as much as I dislike Walmart.

I had a similar experience today. Typically the cashier simply scans the qs and doesn't read unless there is an issue. Today each and every coupon was read and the monitor reviewed before scanning. Then I was told I couldn't use the Johnson's q on Buddies, 'it's not in the picture and it's not a baby item.' The manager allowed me to use them but I was given a 'warning.'

I've bought many Johnson's Buddies soaps at Target using the $1/1 Johnson & Johnson coupons. I've never had an issue. In fact, I bought some last week at the same location. Allow the coupon or don't.. A warning and a very audible overly emphatic apology to the person behind me in line (which was clearly more for my benefit than the next customer) has left me incredibly disappointed in Target. And I LOVE Target.

The behavior of both the cashier and mngr made me feel horrible. I am fortunate that I don't have a lot of conflict in my life so I have a difficult time not taking situations like this to heart.

I'd have rather they simply denied the coupon than make me feel like I was dishonest for trying to redeem it.

It's been 8 hours and I'm still 'stuck' on this. I think I'll be contacting corporate tomorrow and shopping another area Target until the stigma wears off.

Geez, why wouldn't that cashier listen? I hate it when I tell them something is wrong but they don't listen. Nothing much you can do in those types of situations.
