Not allowed to use MFG & Store q's together!!!

I went to Target tonight to use some of my Huggies coupons since they expire tomorrow and also get some ritz since I had store & mfg q's for those as well. When I got to the checkout the girl told me I could NOT use both my MFG & Store coupons for the same items, only one or the other. I told her I had been doing this for 18m and never had a problem w/ it before. She said it would beep and not allow it, I asked her to try it and she wouldn't even try to run them both through.
I asked to speak to a manager and the lady who I think was just a front end manager came up and said yes she was correct I could only use one or the other. I was so angry!!! I told the manager the same thing that I had been using both for months and I've never had a problem...She said sorry but some cashiers must not know the policy. I didn't feel like arguing any longer since there were so many people in the store/line so I just told her to take all of the items that I had both mfg & store q's for off. That I didn't want them.
Is this in the policy somewhere so I can take it in tomorrow and get my huggies?

ETA: Just found the policy...I will so be going back tomorrow with the policy in hand...(unless someone knows of another great huggies deal)

Not only is it in the policy, but many Targets have it posted at the cashier stands. Print the coupon policy at this link HELP and take back to the store with your coupons.

My new target has signs posted at each line to check up that you can use one Target coupon and one manufacturer coupon for each item.

Yes, my Target started putting these up a few weeks ago. I want a cashier to pull that "you can't use both" BS now.

Both our targets have the coupon policy and the new PM thing on signs at the registers. Not that it helps with some idiots...good luck with your next trip

A major reason I just quit going there ... now I received some Target q's in the mail and am tempted to go back ... hmm, maybe not. :)

This Saturday I was at Target trying to use up the rest of my 1.00 of ANY Tide on the trial sizes,(which I have done hundreds over the last several months), along with the Purina cat food treats, one Target coupon and one manufacturers.

First it was you can't use the Tide coupon because it's not the picture on the Coupon, sigh* here we go again... Front end manager, same thing not the picture on the coupon. I argued the ANY size and she finally whispered in the cashier's ear and she put the coupons through. Now we get to the Purina treats coupons, can't use both coupons, sigh* again. I had noticed that Target had put up pretty large signs, right in front of CS about being happy to except both manu and Target coupons for one item. At this point I'm getting aggravated and point to the sign and asked the cashier "Can you read that sign or do you need a picture?" She put the coupons through.

OMG how can Target run a company with employees that don't have a clue about the company they work for and their policies?
