Default Re: Target printables x12/12/09

It appears that those using FF are not having any trouble with the new Target coupon printer. I use IE 8 and could not get that coupon activator to download and work. I finally called Corporate and here is what needs to be done:

Close all windows as directed except for the one needed for the coupon printer install at target.com.

When the website asks you whether to run or save the coupon printer, answer save. I saved the coupon printer .exe to my desk top for easy access. Follow any instructions that come next. (I don't remember if the I agree or I do not agree to all the rules and regulations is here or not.)

Still being out of all browser windows, open up the coupon printer icon on your desktop - it leaves a square icon divided in three - the left half is purple and the right half is divided in two with two shades of orange. Click on it and then click run.

From there I went to target.com, selected my coupons and then was able to print.

Right now, I don't know if that icon has to be clicked everytime one needs to print. That can be figured out later. Because the coupons are quantity limited, I didn't want to experiment. For now at least the coupons will print as needed.

Thanks for the hint~I pulled up my Google Chrome browser and they printed just fine thru there-so that's another option.

Not all of them say one per transaction. From the ones I printed, seems the food ones do say one per transaction. The others say one item or offer per coupon....which isn't the same. So not all are limited by transaction. Just to keep us more confused.

What a crock! So I guess only those who commit coupon fraud will benefit from this......it seems some people have an unlimited access to printables SOMEHOW and I will never be convinced that fraud doesn't somehow play a roll into that.

That is so interesting!!! I ran into the exact opposite issue last night. I tried installing the printer initially w/ FireFox, but it was a NO GO after several minutes of waiting. I then tried w/ IE (IE 8) and it worked perfectly....just clicked "Run" (not "Save") a few times. :shrug7:

I know I'm going against the grain here, but instead of complaining about Target's new coupon limit, I'm just gonna be thankful that they didn't do away with it all together! Maybe now there will actually be enough products left on the shelves for everyone to get a fair shot @ a great deal.

Does anyone find it odd that they make the change right after the alphabet pal coupon thing? I just assume that they are angry about that deal,so they change their coupon policy, and their coupon printing process.
