FREE batteries AND matchbox cars!

I didnt see this posted yet--but I got this from another site. I have done it MANY times & it works great!

If you have a Fleet Farm by you they have Rayovac tear pads all over their store. The tear pad is a $3.00 coupon if you buy 2 Rayovac batteries & a toy. Target has the batteries in the $1.00 bin---so I have been buying 2 packs of batteries & 1 car which is .97 & I use the $3.00 coupon = FREE :) :)

Thanks for clearing this up. I have never even heard of Fleet Farm so I am guessing it isn't by me... good find though

Thanks so much, I read this last night and went to Farm & Fleet and they were there. Now I have to try them to see if the work at Target. The last time I went to Target was the worsed shopping experince I have ever had.
Coupon was saying 1 per item and they were saying 1 per transaction, I was trying to get 4 of each p butter, os juice, They let me get 1 each, the would not take my coupons for the 1.50 off glade candles with the refills unless I had them rung up one at a time, I tired to do th ceral deal and oh no that was
one at a time, so the manager came over and said that he could not make that decision, I wanted to say if you can't make that decison why are you the manager, I could of had them all rang up in 3 different transaction but told the manager who I would make the decison to shop some place else. I left with the rest of my order on the counter. The funny thing is my friend checked out with the same cashier and got 4 boxes of cereal, 4 p butter, 4 ocean spray juice and they took all of her coupons and did not say a word. She was in line ahead of me. I HAVEN'T BEEN BACK SINCE.

okay so i i can either can just free batteries or free batteries and a toy.

So the $3 q is for $2 off my batteries and $1 off my toy. I can't do a $3 toy and use two of my $1 rayovac q's?

want to make sure before I go to target lol

ETA: nevermind found my answer haha! just means more FREE batteries for me haha!

I saw Rayovac tearpads during back to school months at Shopko, but none lately. They did have the toy ones last year, though. I'm in MT.

If I remember correctly, though, you had to buy bigger packs of batteries than the ones they had in the Target dollar spot. So, this is an extra good deal!!

Today at Shopko I found MANY tearpads of Q's that were Save $3.00 on any 2 Rayovac batteries and 1 toy (expire 1/31/10). It does state you can only use one coupon.

My kids and I took some and went to Target where we bought (2) $1.00 Rayovac (4-pack AA) batteries and a .97 hotwheel car. The total was $2.97. I informed the cashier before she tried to scan the coupon that the total was only $2.97 and the coupon would need to be price modified down. She tried to scan the coupon anyway, it beeped, so she manually put in the $2.97 ... it zeroed out the transaction and after each of use gave our items, we went on our merry way!! FREE batteries and hot wheel cars! Does anyone know of anywhere else to find $1.00 Rayovac batteries?

FYI: I did use one of the combos with a higher price toy and it still beeped, so it will have to be entered manually or K1 keyed at Target each time.

I got some plastic toy play food from the dollar spot and batteries.....

45 packs batteries
10 toys
11 toddler refill wipes
7 baby wipe containers
1 pkg super mega overnight diapers (needed those sadly)

$24.07 with a savings of $76.67 ... i did not shelf clear on the wipes either. just trying to stock up now since we are getting ready to start PT'ing our oldest son and the baby is due to arrive in 15 days.

I've done this deal a few times now and the coupons always beep and it is a ymmv on whether the cashier will consider the batteries to be "large enough" packs. I did this deal 3 or 4 times with the cashier putting the coupon through, but the last time a different cashier and manager (?) said they would have to adjust it down to $2 because the coupon was for more than the cost of the batteries :shrug7:

My Target restocked the alkaline batteries, so I will be back to try again.
