Bloggers are reporting that the Leap Frog Alphabet Pal will be available this weekend at Toys-R-Us for $10.49 during a special two-day sale.

I was able to confirm with my Target they will price match as long as I bring in the entire ad from a competitor. I also asked about using a coupon on a price match - they will accept their own or a manufacturer's, but not a competitor's.

Additional info: Still unconfirmed, but seeing reports that this is a Friday and Saturday deal in TRU. Supposedly, an ad will be available in-store, i.e. don't wait for the Sunday paper as it may be too late!

So how does this work? Do we take the item, price match ad and coupon to the customer service desk to get the 49 cent price or do we purchase it first then take everything to customer service?

I was told to stop at the customer service desk with the ad first. I think at that time I will confirm I am able to get the sales price as well as use the Target coupon.

One more thing I'm reading is that some people are thinking TRU will accept competitor's coupons and may try to use the Target $10 off coupon. It was a good idea. However, I did call TRU to see if they accept competitor's coupons. I was told they do not. However, since I have to go to TRU to get the ad and then off to Target I will go, the Target coupons will be with me. I figure there is nothing to lose by asking in-store if this can be done.
