There were easily 30 tins on the shelves today at my Target and I went through all of them. After going through all but 3-4 of them, I only found 15 coupons.
I ended up with an amazingly awesome deal. I didn't even know that the gift card deal was going on but I did have a rain check for the tins from a few weeks ago when they were $1.66. I bought 15 tins and 14 refills (somehow I lost my 15th coupon). There was no mention of the gift card anywhere that I saw in the store. Since there was no mention of the deal, I had no idea what I needed to get the holiday scents for it. Here's how my transaction worked out:
15 Apple Cinnamon tins = $1.66 each ($24.90)
10 Apple Cinnamon refills = $2.50 each ($25.00)
4 Vanilla refills = $2.89 each ($11.56)
- (15) $1.50 off = $22.50
- (14) free refills = $36.56
subtotal = $2.40
tax = $3.07
total oop = $5.47
and I got FIVE $5 gift cards!
We tried buying another refill but it didn't tell them to scan another gift card, so we just didn't get it. Like I said, there was no signage advertising the sale and even the manager didn't know about it so we had no idea what we had to buy the holiday scents. We bought out all of the Apple Cinnamon refills, so we couldn't have done anything more. I'm so glad that we went into the store this week to get these. I'd been trying to use the rain check for the last few weeks and never found enough on the shelf to do it. This was probably the best I'd ever done and it was all accidental. I need to look into the $5 rebate as well, that would make it even better!
