Target wouldn't accept the web coup I printed... because I had printed it on some paper that had some "candycane stripes" on one edge on the back of the coupon! ( I like to recycle some of my Xmas stationary)
What will they think of next! The coupon I printed was very readable, none of the colored stripes showed through to interfer with their scanner, and, in fact, the coup scanned just fine when I went over to Customer Service.
It's interesting to note that the cashier who declined my coupon also went to the team leader who also agreed & said they couldn't accept the coupon for that same reason.
When to I went to Customer Service asking to speak to the store manager, my coupon was OK'd but the team leader then showed up at the customer service desk and "scolded" the girl that called the manager for not going through her first. Talk about a power struggle...after all I did ask to talk to the store manager. Doesn't that count for something?
As I left the store, I wondered if there was some "secret reason" that they didn't like my coupon, and they just made up some silly excuse. The girl at Customer Service did say that if the coupon wouldn't scan, they wouldn't take it, but like I said it scanned just fine.
Has anyone had problems with the type of paper they've printed their coupons on?
