Good for you! Stand your ground!
:hectic1:So I drove this afternoon to a different target that is closer to my home but i still dont like it as much as the one i had been going too. I went to look to see if they had 2 dollar coupons on the glade air freshner. While i was there they had candles with coupons in them so i bought them and some chef michaels dog food for free and a bag of diapers and tissues. The manager come over as she saw i was getting ready to had the lady the coupons and she was like i have to inspect each one of your coupons. I said fine I have nothing but time,so go ahead i got all the items. She tried to tell me i couldnt use a up up and away coupon on their up and up away tissues cause they were on clearance, she was wrong and after 3 people reading the coupon i got my 75 cents coupon so tissues for 9cents. Then they didnt want me to use a internet coupon for huggies off their site and a manf coupon on my huggies cause i use a store brand coupon on the tissues. So 30 minutes i lefted with 10 candle tins 2 bog1 air freshners 1 box of tissues 5 cans of dog food 2 bags of diapers and spent 3.18. I believe their head is still spinning.

Good for you but don't even get me started on Target! I have never been so mad or or frustrated than I have been at Target. I will post my drama. I have tryign to give Target time to resolve the situation and make it right but they sent me an email that basically said, we don't care.

I think they get jealous because we are getting good deals. Some of the cashiers say you sure did good saving money while others want to give us such a hard time. When I did the razor deal this week I went to the electronics department to check out because they only had 2 lanes open in the front and it was the cashiers that always seem to give me a hard time. The young guy in electronics said you did well I feel like you just robbed us blind with this transaction. I loved it.The younger ones dont seem to give me such a hard time so I keep my eyes out for them. After all.. im not doing anything wrong or using the coupons outside of the rules.

Hard to believe, I was hassled by a new cashier today and I work there. I couldn't believe, I am the person the highers up ask questions about coupons and this girl who has been working there for 3 weeks is giving me a hard time.
Thanks for sharring this! I did not have a good experience at Target the other day with my coupons. The cashier was very frustrated & only let me use 1 Target coupon. She told me that I was really not using the correct coupons from Target for the cup cereal & soap buddies. She said I am supposed to buy the item posted in the picture, but I explained that it does not specify in writing. Uggghhh....I still need to go back to purchase my ice cream for the $5 gc....guess I'm going with you girls advice & going to the young cashiers...lol![]()
Well today was the worst time I ever had at my Target (only one in my town). Only one register was open so only cashier I could use was not young. She rings my order up and then starts with the Q's. I forgot that I had to use duplicate Target Q's in seperate transactions for each duplicate item I was purchasing. So I told her to void the whole transaction and I would seperate my orders and get back in line to purchase them so I could use my Target Q's and Manu Q's. She said ok but was not happy to have to void the order, which was only a push of a button. As I pulled off to the side to fix my orders she tells me that I may not be able to use my Target Q's after the first transaction. I asked her why and she said that if the second Target Q that I was using in my second transaction for the same item I purchased in the first transaction had the same numbers under the Bar Code then I couldn't use the Target Q again. That I was only limited to have 1 Target Q for the same item. (I just love how they make these things up) I knew she was wrong so right there in the store I called the Guest Relations department. I pulled off to the side to talk to them and she kept sending other employees to pass me to see what was going on. They kept talking off to the side and I knew it was about me. Well of course Guest Relations said that I could use more than one Target Q for the same item just in a seperate transaction. The supervisor said she would call Customer Service at the store to get it straight. I am put on hold and I proceed to walk over to the customer service desk. The call comes into the store and who do you think is the customer service manager, the cashier that just told me that I could not use the Q's. Well she was not happy when they told her I could and that she would have to ring my order up in seperate transactions. She then asks Guest Relations "well what about trial sizes"? I don't know what they told her but I did not have any trial sizes. She must have been thinking of the Cereal cups I had. She hangs up and I go over to the register and place my orders up seperately. By now my ice cream is starting to melt and she is fuming. She treated me like dirt the rest of the time and made sure that she moved so slow as to tick me off. While she was ringing up my fourth order, with attitude still, I was so mad at this point that I said to myself, "I'm not going to take this anymore" and left the rest of the orders at the register after I paid for the fourth order.
I hated doing that but after I was treated like a thief and I did nothing wrong I couldn't take it anymore. Well I came home and wrote a long letter to Target's guest relations with the Reference # they gave me for my complaint. I told them how I was treated and I know they have her name because they asked her for it when they called the store. I hope that they reprimand her for her actions. I was so humiliated. I also told Target that I would not shop there anymore and would go to Walmart since I have no problems using Q's there. I also told them that I could get Walmart to price match them. I will miss the Target Q's with Manu. Q's though.
Sorry this is so long all but I needed to vent. This goes to show how Target's employee's are not trained well at all and are not taught that you treat customer's with respect.
Thanks for listening all.
I read the posts in this forum just earlier today at work and felt so bad that anyone experienced this kind of treatment...then I had a trip from hell!
I went this afternoon to a SuperTarget between work and home. It's a great store, clean, coupon friendly, etc. I had several items, all with coupons of course, some with both store and mfg coupons.
Long story short, I wasn't allowed to use the $1 General Mills Target q or the $1 Artisan Bread Target q. My cashier wasn't ugly but when I asked her to show me the size restriction on the q she told me it was obvious that it shouldn't be used on the individual sizes because that would "make them free and that's like stealing". This was no youngster, she's an elderly woman who is very nice but I was totally embarassed! She then called (yelled across the registers) to a CSR. He came over, all of 20 years old with a hand printed name tag on and said nope can't do it. I questioned him as to why and he said that would make it free and you can't get something for nothing! WOW! I politely took the items out of my cart and told her I didn't want them. She was surprised and obviously put out but she took the items off and I paid my $3.53 for 2 Glade Tin Candles, 2 Refil Packages, 1 Fragrance Collection Candle, 1 Tide Stain Release bag, 1 Bounce Dryer Bar, & 10 String Cheeses (that q didn't work either) and went to Customer Service.
I asked for the 800 number to customer service and while on hold I stood there and printed q's from the kiosk. Finally got someone to answer, got passed on cause she didn't understand, and was able to explain. She asked to speak to the customer service person and she in turn went to the register, collected my items that I'd "tried to steal" and put back, came back to CS and rang them up, keyed in the q and it went right through. She hung up with CS, rang each of my items individually as to not go against their q policy, and sent me on my way. (Thanks Larissa!)
Too often when I get resistence I just back down and go on my way but today was the breaking point for me. Saying I was trying to steal an item because their q has no restriction was terribly insulting and I knew I was in the right. Yes, I will be following up with a letter about my experience to Target as well as noting how great the in-store CS person was in helping fix it all.
