Default Where to get the Target coupon policy at?

I have finally run into the handful of cashiers at my ST that keep telling me (just since last Thurs), that they changed their policy to no longer accept a Target/manu coupon together, since I might be getting the item for free and they can't let that happen. So I just want to be armed with the official policy before I go next time~ Do I call corp? Or is it on the website somewhere??

And BTW-nothing I was getting was going to be free after the combined Target/manu coupon....it was only the items I was just using a Target coupon on that were free(stick cheese, bread, j&j buddies bar, baby bottle, bananas) so I don't know what she was so concerned with!!

Just email the customer service on the Target site. You'll get a "canned" response that you can print out and take with you. IT'll look something like this:

Thanks for asking us about using coupons at Target. Coupons are a great way to save even more when shopping with us, and it's easy to use them at our stores. Because of the variety of coupons available to our guests, we do have some guidelines for how coupons can be redeemed at Target.

When accepting coupons, we use the following guidelines:

- We accept two kinds of coupons: Target-issued and manufacturer-issued.
- We'll accept one Target coupon and one manufacturer coupon for the same item, unless either coupon prohibits it.
- We can't give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item; in this case, we're able to adjust the value of the coupon to equal the price of the item.
- We can't accept coupons from other retailers, or coupons for products not carried in our stores.
- All valid coupons should be presented to the cashier while you're checking out.

For questions about using a specific coupon, we encourage you to stop by Guest Service and ask to speak with the Guest Service Team Leader. They'll do their best to help while you're in the store. If you still have questions after speaking with them, please call our Guest Relations team at (800) 440-0680. Either way, we're here to help!

We appreciate the opportunity to share this information with you.

It amuses me about the "can't give cash back and will adjust etc". My store lets me have the overage for the most part. Doesn't say they have to adjust it down, just that you can't go negative in your total. I got overage tonight even. lol But not all stores are like that.

Thanks so much~off to contact cus svc. I have always had the best coupon friendly cashiers. But for some reason the 18-24 yr old girl cashiers have taken over the store and act like i am stealing the product or $$ straight from their pockets!!! Oh I long for the days of young guys or older women cashiers!~~~~(talk about people profiling-why does it have to come down to that??!?!?!)

Good luck! But I seriously think it's because they have nothing better to do or want or have some power control issues! LOL! Ergh! I have one ST that is just horrible with coupons, they (head cashiers and store managers) have tried to tell me that they can't adjust down the value of the coupons (umm...see policy posted above...giggle)! I always carry a printed copy with me although I've had to call Customer Service twice regarding this same store.

I had such a horrible experience at target over it that I left all my stuff there and walked out. 3 days later I called guest relations as I was still livid. It was all over a coupon that in capital letters said ANY of a certain branded product. They insisted it had to be what was pictured. They refused to mark qs down etc. When I called I talked to a gentleman with a heavy accent. He eventually transferred me to a woman who was nice and understanding. She personally sent me a copy on company letterhead in a Target envelope with a postage date on it. Its my golden ticket to coupon. I havent had to pull it out since so Im wondering if something may actually have come of my complaint locally.??? Who knows. But call and ask for one. It worked for me.
Good Luck.

You can also print out the Target coupon policy on one of those registry computers up in the front of the stores. I did this the other day so I could have it on hand.
I cant remember exactly how I did it, but it wasnt difficult at all. Just look for something about coupon policy near the bottom of the page.

I was able to get to the coupon policy from the Registry kiosk at the front of the store, but it just takes you to a page on their website, so I thought "It must be on the site somewhere" and it is!

HELP

I got to it by going to:

Target : Help : Our Stores + Company : Store + Merchandise Information : Target Stores Coupon Policy

Wow, they really do bury it on the site!

Our Target recently put up signage on the ends of the registers. One of them says in large letters "We accept Manufacturer's coupons" or something to that effect and underneath it says in smaller type, "We happily accept one manufacturer and one Target coupon per item". Check around your Target and see if they have put up this new signage in the register area. They are at the fronts of the registers near the impulse buy stuff.

I know! I actually saw those signs on Tuesday, and took a pic with my phone to keep and show cashiers if they question it anymore! Kudos to Target for finally putting the signs out!!!

I got the old "we only take 2 like coupons" today, so I told the cashier to give me back my coupons and void the order.
