How do i sign up to get Target home mailer?

From what I understand no one really quite knows how one gets on the list for Target Homemailers. I can only think if you have had a baby registry, wedding registry, or have medications at the pharmacy that you may get them. This question of how one gets on their mailing list has been asked by many people, myself included. I know that I am probably not helping much, but that is what I know. ;-)

I've heard 2 stories:
1) It depends on your area. They send out a select few to certain zip codes
2) You have a Target Credit Card

I've never gotten them either and the managers at my local ST have no idea how to get them either.

When I registered for my last pregnancy I started getting them.

I'm over an hour away from them...but I might try registering again LOL

I've only received them once in 4 years that I've had Target visa, and I spend way too much money there as it is. I would sure appreciate a home mailer. I also get my scripts there, about 4-5 a month.

Hmm. I registered there 4 years ago for my wedding and last year for the baby and I have never received any coupons.

I started getting them after I registered for my baby, but I tried registering again later and did not get one. As far as I can figure out, you have to register - AND someone has to buy something off your registry. Thats my guess at least.

BUT, I recently got one of their Debit cards- it isn't a Credit card, it is a Target check card (kind of like a store reward card) attached to your bank account. Supposedly every quarter they will send you a coupon for a percentage off of your purchase as well as coupons for things you buy frequently with your card. I've been using it for about a month pretty regularly, we'll see what I end up getting. Any one else have one or heard of this type of card?

The Card is their version of a debit card but only able to be used at Target. For every $1 you spend you get a point. sometimes there will be double points. Once you get 1000 points=having spent $1000 they issue a cert. for 10% off an entire day of shopping. Also If you get any rx's there for every 10 you get a 10% off pass as well. now you do have to sign up for the rx savings on the card i think either online or there is a number to call for the card customer service if you call it should prompt you to sign up.
The great thing about the 10% off pass is it is taken off the total BEFORE coupons so you end up scorin a few extra freebies! Well at least it is in my store but i doubt there is a difference between software in the registers!

To make all this even stranger my brother is on the Target home mailing list. No Target credit card, no registry and seldom shops there. He also had received a Catalina for $5 off $50. I received all his coupons.
